There hasn't been any major work on versabox recently, mostly because
it seems to be working fine. I know a few people are now using
versabox successfully to run various Ubuntu and Debian versions and
lots of related applications. (Virtually everything that runs under
Debian or Ubuntu will work that same in versabox under Nitix.)
If you're using Nitix, try to make sure you're on 5.0 or higher so you
get the Linux 2.6 kernel: quite a few modern programs won't work if
you don't have that. Versabox will run fine, but newer versions of
Debian/Ubuntu won't be able to install without the newer kernel, so
you'd be limited to old ones. Anyway, Nitix 5.x is much better than
previous versions.
Have fun,
Avery
