Thank you so much for suggesting this software! I like it even better. The software actually opens a lot quicker than Vdownloader ever did for me. And the download speeds of the videos is a LOT faster than Vdownloader as well. This will definitely be the software I continue to use. The only thing I don't like about it is it won't let me put in the file name I want for the video when I go to download it. So I have to go into my documents and manually change the name. I minor inconvenience.
This happens every time You Tube blocks software programs (like Vdownloader) from allowing videos to be downloaded. Vdownloader then has to work around these blockages. It's happened numerous time in the past. But what is disappointing is that Diago is not responding to anyone this week. I've reported the problem 3 different ways days ago and still have not heard anything. I don't know if he's working on the issue or not. If it's not fixed within the next week, I'm going to have to search for some other software to try.
Have an online video that you want to convert to audio or video file on your computer? VDownloader allows you to convert online links to video download, but also download your videos in different formats.
Using video downloader is the most helpful when you need to watch a video without internet connection. While you will need internet to download your video, you will be able to watch it later without WiFi or any data plan. Perfect for traveling or places with poor connection!
The, "Monitor the clipboard for URLs" option won't stay checked, and the program refuses to download anything ... since the last update. However, I can change other options and those changes persist. For example, the next option, "Immediately download video URL's copied to the clip!" persists whether I turn it on or off.
When I attempt to download a YouTube video to an mp3 file, the download seems to be going fine, I get the "Done" message. However the file only contain 10 to 40 seconds of music, more often around 20 seconds.
VDownloader was opened then wanted an update and after update I ended up with to shortcut Icons on the desk top and it will not open. I went to your web site downloaded the software uninstalled the program rebooted and installed from the version 5.0.4191 download file and the program still freezes on startup. So don't know what the problem is just does not open.
When I copy the video URL and paste it into VDownloader opening and closing brackets appear thus () about 10 spaces to the right of the address and I get the message "This it is not a valid video URL" when I tell it to download. Have tried various sites with the same result. Can you assist.
Have to disable Malwarebytes to install Vdownloader and it also cause VDownloader to lock up sometimes when downloading videos from youtube. Any way to stop this other then disabling Malwarebytes when using VDownloader?
Why can't I download audio from youtube and import it to places like iTunes or Audacity? I always get an error from iTunes saying the file could not be added/converted and the loading time extends indefinitely on Audacity. They run just fine on the windows media player.
When vDownloader is actively downloading video and the monitor cuts off due to inactivity I find that the computer locks up. I must physically power off and back on to regain video. (The keyboard lights do not even turn as they normally would if the PC were working and the monitors off.)
Please help me with the problem. I bought vDownloader plus version, because I thought that old version was a problem of being unable to download music as I used to before on this program. I haven't been using the basic version for around half of the year now. Now I can see the plus version but still every youtube video that I want to download and covert into mp3 gets (403) forbidden. What am I doing wrong?
I've been using this program for almost a year now. Never had any issues with it. Then out of the blue this week, I can no longer download from Dailymotion. It's still allowing downloads from YouTube & Vimeo, just not from Dailymotion.
I'm trying to download a video that is pretty high quality but says that the max quality is 360p however the quality of the video on youtube is 1080p. I screenshotted what this looks like here The video I'm trying to download is =mQkgBV6YXxY. This has happened a couple times with different videos
Why can't I download videos from adult sites any more. I used to be able to download from all the adult sites and now they tell me it's not a video URL. but there are no mention of "embed" in the URL what so ever and I don't think xvidos or others have had time to embed every video on the site. There would be thousands. I just updated to the 4.2.1800 version and it still doesn't work. I am also running the Plus version.
I'm not sure if it was/is the new update, but my previous version let me just download the .mp3 file by itself. Now, it says that I have the pro version for some reason and I can see a icon of You Tube and it will only let me download the video, and not JUST the mp3. I tried deleting and re-installing, and that doesn't work. I looked through the options. Any way to download just the mp3 from the video? Plus version 4.2.1739.0
I am trying to download a private youtube video. VDownloader came back with error "Please sign in to view this video." . I was signed in Chrome with the same gmail user and actually viewing the video. How do I sign in VDownloader ?
just updated to new free version and am having problems downloading content. I always get the message to choose output format. i have to click ok 3 or 4 times before it goes away. the older version worked perfect! Anyway to get that back?
The internet connection on the current version of free vdownloader keeps disconnecting and immediately reconnecting. Consequently unless using high speed broadband (which seems to be able to cope with or overcome this issue) any downloads fail immediately or soon after starting. This is definitely a new issue, not experienced with any of the earlier versions I've installed.
Click on the button to the right to download Viddly. You may need to authorize the download and specify a destination folder. Once it has downloaded, double-click the executable to proceed to the installation.
Disney Plus Downloader is a useful app to download videos while you have a connection to the Internet. For example, when you are at home and connected to the web, use the app and download movies, videos, or TV show series.
When you are on your way to work in a subway, or chilling somewhere without a web connection, you can use a portable device to watch a favorite episode. The app is free and legal as long as you use the downloaded content for personal purposes.
Ever been completely engrossed in a music video or a TED Talk on YouTube, when suddenly the video sputters to a halt? Downloading your videos in their entirety before watching them can make for a much better viewing experience. VDownloader is a $39 utility (free feature-limited demo) that tries to make it easier for you to download videos from multiple websites for later viewing. Unfortunately, it does not always succeed.
VDownloader can download videos based on YouTube URLs, and it supports many output formats. The first thing I noticed when I ran VDownloader is that it pops up a UAC prompt to request elevation to Administrator rights. There is no real reason why VDownloader should need Administrator access just for downloading files off the Internet: your Web browser does it all the time, and so do download managers such as the free JDownloader (which is excellent for downloading videos as well).
Just because VDownloader thinks it detected a video does not mean it actually did: I clicked the VDownloader button within Chrome to download a video from Vimeo, and VDownloader grabbed a tiny FLV file which was not that video at all.
The venerable Firefox Plugin "Video Download Helper" has been a mainstay of internet video downloading for years. However since I upgraded to Ubuntu 22.04 it can not ever find the "Companion App" it needs to work.
I found over the weekend that there is also a "Download with Web Browser" option that can work instead of using the companion app. Just proceed as normal, when the download begins, a dialogue window will popup prompting you to download the helper. But next to this is a button marked "Download with Web Browser" (or suchlike). Just click that.
