Shooters what a beautiful weekend for a State Shoot. Especially in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont! We had a record number of shooters for the Main Event, 94 and 105 total registered shooters for the weekend. There were 249 rounds of subgage and we threw more than 22,000 targets. We added a 12 ga Fluff this year which most were calling the 12ga Tuff, except for Andy Deth who had the only perfect round of the weekend!
Jerald Copp was HOA in the Open with a 95 followed close behind by Frank Deluca Jr. with a 94.
The VT Championship was won by Butch Trombley with an 89. Butch is a three time winner in the last ten years. RU was Andy Kachmarik a Junior shooter with an 88.
Thanks to all who continue to support our club and to those making their first trip to the NEK! Thank you to our staff for a very smooth two days of stocking, filling, moving, stocking, filling, and filling again all those traps.
I always say 98% of shooters are good people, and I'm glad to say that 2% stayed away this weekend. Good Friends, Good Food, Good Targets!

August 6th is our next Summer Blast Fun Shoot. Lunch is included. This is not a registered event. Shoots start at 10:00 a.m. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. 100 bird main event. 50 bird twenty gage event to follow. You do not need to be registered with the NSCA to attend.

The Allen Irish rd. from Rt 15 to the house just before the club driveway will be closed until 8/27.
I have been told they are going to completely dig it up and replace the sub base.. So if you normally get to the club by coming up rt 15 and turning left or right onto Allen Irish you will have to choose a different way. Best way will be to continue on rt 15 until you get to Boyden Valley Winery and turn left on rt104, go two miles and turn left on Allen Irish and go 1/2 mile and turn right onto Buchanan.

Visiting Canada
Passport required (driving or flying) or Passport Card (Driving Only) or enhanced state driver’s license (driving only) required to re-enter the USA.
A stop by USA customs to list your firearm on a Form 4457 is required. Can be done at any time, to include the day of your trip. If you happen to live near an airport that does international flights they can complete your form at any time. The form is good forever, unless it's no longer readable. The form allows you to re-turn with the firearm to the USA without hassle. They do need to see the firearm(s) when completing the form, just don't bring it in the building unless directed to do so.
Canada allows long guns and ammo to be brought in for 60 days on permit, cost $25 (Canadian) for the permit (credit card accepted). Paperwork completed on the day of the crossing at the border. If you already have the form filled out (except signatures) it will speed you along.
