In this article http://bit.ly/HandPickingHops I feature a number of
YouTube video picks about local brewers and local ho and grain growers
building relationships to support local sustainability. Figured this
would be important to share! Cheers.

Thanks for blogging about our work Matty, and pointing out the error
in the video. We're well aware that hops are flowers... The voice
over guy is a layman, not an agriculturalist, and we didn't spot the
error before it went live. Thanks for pointing it out, we'll pay
closer attention next time.

The burgeoning hops movement is really taking off in Vermont, we're
very excited about the future. We've just posted our hopyard, and are
working on stringing the cables. The UVM Extension Research Hopyard
will be planted with potted rhizomes sent from our compatriots at
Washington State University, hopefully by the end of May.

Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, feel free to point out our
slip ups. We're only human, and we're learning right along with
everyone else.

Thanks,

Heather Darby and Rosalie Madden

So glad that WI, IA, MN, MI, VT and so many other ag regions are
picking up on the open market opportunity of growers returning back to
our roots by building direct relationships with our customers (the
craft brewers).

Cheers
