Thezone is usually described as a state-of-mind where one feels productive and hyper-focused. These are certainly good traits to have when you are programming. However, the zone also comes with tunnel-vision and a sense of being infallible. These are not good traits to have.

CUDA is a parallel computing platform and programming model developed by NVIDIA for general computing on graphical processing units (GPUs). With CUDA, developers are able to dramatically speed up computing applications by harnessing the power of GPUs.

The CUDA Toolkit from NVIDIA provides everything you need to develop GPU-accelerated applications. The CUDA Toolkit includes GPU-accelerated libraries, a compiler, development tools and the CUDA runtime.

The first GPUs were designed as graphics accelerators, becoming more programmable over the 90s, culminating in NVIDIA's first GPU in 1999. Researchers and scientists rapidly began to apply the excellent floating point performance of this GPU for general purpose computing. In 2003, a team of researchers led by Ian Buck unveiled Brook, the first widely adopted programming model to extend C with data-parallel constructs. Ian Buck later joined NVIDIA and led the launch of CUDA in 2006, the world's first solution for general-computing on GPUs.

Since its inception, the CUDA ecosystem has grown rapidly to include software development tools, services and partner-based solutions. The CUDA Toolkit includes libraries, debugging and optimization tools, a compiler and a runtime library to deploy your application. You'll also find code samples, programming guides, user manuals, API references and other documentation to help you get started.

I realize the 2GIG 345 Repeater works automatically when plugged in and will start repeating signals, but I would like to add the optional tamper/low battery alerts capability from the datasheet. On my GC3 panel, what options do I use to add the device to a zone for the low battery and tamper alerts?

You can program a wireless zone on your Honeywell VISTA-20P by using an alphanumeric keypad to access zone programming. You will then be able to program the zone from there. Please note, you will need to have the installer code for your VISTA-20P system in order to access zone programming.

If you find you are not able to access programming, you will need to use the back door method to access programming. The video shown below will show you how to use the backdoor method. The VISTA panel used in the video is the 21iP, but the steps are exactly same for the 20P.

4. Program the zone. Enter * at the summary screen to begin programming the zone. After configuring the field in the desired manner, enter * to confirm and continue to the next field.

Report codes are entered in hexadecimal format. A 1 is entered as 01, 2 is 02, and so on. Alarm Grid customers need only enter 01 in the first digit entry, though any valid entry (01 - 15) will work. Digit 2 does not matter and can remain at 00.

The serial number for a wireless sensor can be manually entered, or it can be learned-in automatically. Learning-in the device is the recommended method for adding the serial number. Activate the sensor two times to learn-in the serial number.

Alpha refers to the descriptors that can be added to a zone. These will display when the zone faults, when the zone triggers an alarm and when connecting to the system remotely via Total Connect 2.0. Continue without entering alpha, or enter a desired name. Press 0 when finished.

5. Exit programming. The system will jump back to the zone selection screen after configuring the sensor's properties. Enter 00 to back out of zone programming. Enter *99 to exit system programming.

6. Test the sensor. Fault or activate the sensor. The system should display the zone number for the sensor and whether it is faulted, in trouble or in alarm depending on which test was done.

To program a hardwired zone into a VISTA-128BPT, enter the Installer menu using a valid code. Next, go to #93 menu programming, and select [1] Yes, for zone programming. Enter the zone number, zone type, input type, partition, report code, and more. The [*] key advances through the options.

The 128BPT supports up to 128 zones, 8 partitions, and 150 user codes. These can be a combination of hardwired, wireless, and polling loop zones. This FAQ covers programming hardwired zones. Also, see our articles on programming wireless zones on a 128BPT and programming polling loop zones on a 128BPT.

To get into Installer's programming, you should have an Alpha Keypad, like the 6160. Although a Fixed English keypad, like a 6150, can be used for arming and disarming, it cannot program menu-driven fields. Menu-driven fields include Zone Programming, Device Programming, Report Code Programming, and many other options. Because of the MANY limitations, including their inability to display all of the zone numbers associated with the VISTA-128BPT, Fixed English keypads are not recommended for any type of use on these panels.

The 6160 keypad needs to be properly addressed to operate on the VISTA-128BPT. This means that the keypad address will need to be set in the 6160 itself and an address needs to be enabled as a keypad in the VISTA-128BPT.

By default, only device address '00' is enabled in the panel. It is set up as an Alpha Keypad, assigned to partition 1 and this cannot be changed or disabled. Device addresses 01-30 can be configured as desired. Once you have a properly addressed alpha keypad, you are ready to begin programming. It is also recommended to have a copy of the VISTA-128BPT Programming Guide handy.

The Opportunity Zone program is a federal incentive that encourages long-term private investments in designated low-income communities by giving investors tax benefits for investing in real estate projects and operating businesses.

Investors receive tax incentives in the form of deferral and elimination of state and federal capital gains taxes.

As we near the December 2026 program sunset, OEDIT has reduced its active programming to support the incentive. However, we are still happy to help answer questions and provide information to support communities, project sponsors, and investors to help them make the most of the incentive.

For example, assume an investor sells their company stock for $1 million and has $100,000 in capital gains from that sale. The investor puts the $100,000 into an opportunity zone fund that invests in a new business in an opportunity zone.

If they continue to hold the opportunity zone investment for at least 10 years, they will not have to pay any capital gains tax on that investment. If their $100,000 opportunity zone investment appreciates 100% over 10 years, they owe $0 in capital gains tax instead of $20,000. Investors can dispose of their OZ investment as late as 2046 and still get the benefit of eliminating taxes owed on the appreciation of the OZ investment.

A qualified opportunity fund specializes in attracting investors with similar risk and reward profiles to collect and place capital in rural and low-income urban communities.

Qualified opportunity funds:

If you have realized capital gains, you need to invest your gains within 180 days into a qualified opportunity fund. Then the fund needs to place 90% of the funds into qualified opportunity zone property or business within six months.

The following criteria defined how those zones were defined. Definitions used 2011-2015 American Community Survey data. Low-income community census tracts are defined as tracts which meets one of these criteria:

The Colorado legislature created the Enterprise Zone (EZ) Program to encourage development in economically distressed areas of the state. The 16 designated enterprise zones have high unemployment rates, low per capita income, or slow population growth. Local enterprise zone administrators manage their respective enterprise zones.

Enterprise zone areas within rural counties that meet additional economic distress criteria receive enhanced rural enterprise zone status. Businesses within enhanced rural enterprise zones earn additional tax credits when adding net new employees.

To use this map, type in your address in the top left-hand corner. You may need to scroll out to identify whether or not you are located within an enterprise zone. If your location is highlighted in a color, you are located in an enterprise zone. If your location is in a checkered colored area, it is located in an enhanced rural enterprise zone.

Colorado allows for 16 enterprise zones. All 16 zones are established, meaning no new enterprise zones can be created. Local governments can connect with the program manager or the zone administrator of the encompassing or contiguous area to discuss being included in an already established enterprise zone.

The Current Enterprise Zone Eligibility Data (XLS) spreadsheet identifies the eligibility of areas including counties, places, census tracts, and block groups. You will need to know the GeoID for the area of interest to use this resource. This resource is intended for enterprise zone administrators and people looking for changes to a boundary.

If you would like to apply for a tax credit, please see each individual tax credit page for specific eligibility and application requirements. We recommend reviewing the Enterprise Zone Income Tax Credit Guide for the complete eligibility requirements.

Enterprise Zone Job Training Tax Credit

12% of eligible training costs

Businesses can earn a state income tax credit for 12% of eligible job-training costs for employees working within the enterprise zone. This tax credit helps develop a skilled workforce in distressed communities. Even if the business leaves the community, the skilled workforce typically remains an asset to the local economy.

Enterprise Zone New Employee Tax Credit

$1,100 or more per net new employee

Businesses can earn a state income tax credit of $1,100 per net new employee. Businesses can earn more tax credits if the business is an agricultural processor or is in an enhanced rural enterprise zone. This tax credit encourages businesses to hire and expand employment opportunities, thus reducing unemployment rates. State and local governments benefit from income and sales tax revenue generated from these employees.
