Hi there! I have a Elgato Stream Deck XL(upgraded from the normal sized one) I absolutely love it. The way I have implemented most commands is simply by creating a text button on the stream deck and then typing in the command:

Overall I would map hotkeys like crazy to stream deck buttons. I have most hotkeys in obsidian map to things like ctrl+alt+key perhaps a stream deck could help allivate the need to press so many buttons for triggering hotkeys

The webcam won't show anywhere, when the Stream Deck is in the usb (when it's on), and the Stream Deck won't work if I activate the webcam (e.g. in OBS) and then plug in the stream deck.. so clearly the Stream Deck is somehow connecting to the webcam and taking it over, so other programs can't use it... HOW do I fix this???

Hello, I downloaded the plugin and stored in a folder with my other streamdeck files. However, it is not getting loaded into my streamdeck application. I even opened the plugin file using the streamdeck app and still don't see it.

I just purchased stream deck plus. I'm not sure if all features are yet implemented for the Plus. I prefer to operate in the mode using stream deck plugin. I haven't found a way to put an icon in the SD Touch Bar area (no matter which mode) and the knob rotation feature appears to only work if I am in fully controlled by BTT mode. If possible, I would like to do the following in plugin mode:

Thanks. I loaded your configuration file. So far no luck getting the actual rotary button to work. I see a lot happening in the streamdeck plus but non of the actions with the rotary buttons have any effect on parameters of the channels in the nomad. I added a test button to make sure i still have connection.

Not sure if you have Amazon echo devices, but I read that you can control Alexa with the elgato using a third party app. So in turn if your Wyze devices are in Alexa, you could control them with the stream deck?

If you are a proud owner of a stream deck (you might be because you are a fellow creative person) and you own a 3d printer (here ... duh) you might be in luck. I am developing a plugin for the Stream Deck to control your OctoPrint instance(s). The first version of the plugin will release with a button to display the progress of your prints.

I started development on this plugin because I print a lot during gaming. And during gaming, I had to alt-tab a lot to check on progress. I thought to myself how awesome would it be if I could see the progress on the stream deck in front of me.

Got the sim through Xbox game pass but cannot find the exe to map it to a profile on the Elgato Stream Deck so it will start automatically when I launch MSFS.
I can do this with all my other sims. Does anyone know how to find the MSFS exe or another way to implement this with the stream deck?

Managed to get full read access and can now see the exe. The challenge I have now is how to get access to that exe file - needed to associate it with a stream deck profile. No matter what I do, I remain locked out of the file and it seems to be a common issue with the contents of the WindowsApps folder.
Has anyone managed to set up a dynamic profile for MSFS 2020 in Elgato Streamdeck?

My MSFS folder is installed on drive A:, so i just have selected the exe from this folder and it switched automatically and back to default when i exit MSFS. Now i need a profile for to use my stream deck.

Are you running the Steam version by any chance? The MS version exe is locked for many people hence the need for the workaround. It does seem when you exit the sim back to desktop, streamdeck will switch back to your default profile though without any exe monitoring.

If you have an old tablet or smartphone that is not of use anymore, you can also create a kind of stream deck, using a macro tool.
Some guys already created a package including everything, you can see it in action here:

As I stressed in the introduction, this device is not just limited to streaming! Because it works as a generic keyboard device, it can be used as a macro box for all sorts of programs! I could set simple shortcuts in any program, or use something like AutoHotkey for more complex commands without having to reupload the firmware.

Could this be built and programmed to control my logitech webcam software. Mainly Im after two buttons. One that focuses the camera in and another to focus out. Is this possible? Ill take advantage of the other buttons of course, as a streamer on OBS, but these two are my main needs.

So, I saw your stream deck and wanted to modify the code to make some sort of modes. Like sacrificing a button so you can have different modes, making more button. I have used a AHK script to successfully do so, but i would like to make code in arduino so a led switches on and off according to which mode it is currently on.
I have tried doing this but struggled to do so. I have tried running it with a for loop, and calling a new loop.
I have done this within the if statement, that i think, is controlling if the buttons are pressed. I would like to know if this is even possible and if so, how to do it.

I hope someone can help me.. So I managed to get everything all wired up and even got the stetch uploaded with my Arduino set as a Leonardo. But when I go to test the keys in my streamlabs i dont get any response from them being pushed. Am I missing something.. This is all very new to me so I apologize if this has been answered already.

Is anyone using Proclaim with the Elgato Stream Deck? It seems that the Stream deck could greatly simplify Proclaim presentation training, and as both can support midi, it ought to be possible to use them both together.

Both of those steps you do once, to facilitate the midi communication, then after that you configure the rest by adding Commands in Proclaim for the things you want to control, and then add the corresponding midi button to your stream deck.

Although Razer Tartarus v2 seems like a good deal, Elgato XL is still the best. I made a mistake by purchasing it, but wanted to save some cash. And it also got great reviews, for i.e. here: -streaming-deck/, but Elgato is superior to it by every means.

possible to share your macro for this? Very interested in simplifying my stream deck setup for streaming and music production and having multiple profiles that i can paste into different pages that go back up a page instead of always to the home screen would be amazing.

I think you quoted one of the use cases I mentioned. Another, similar one, is when some streaming service requires entering an id and password to validate your subscription or authorization to use their service.

Have the same problem. Running both programs (DCS.exe V2.7.18 , Streamdesk.exe V5.3.1) as administrator does not solve the problem.
Left and right shift key is still recognized by DCS but not the windows or e.g. pause key.
If a previously defined Streamdeck hotkey is pressed, e.g. with L-Shift - L-Win and Pause, only L-Shift is recognized by DCS.
A complete reinstallation of the Streamdeck software did not solve the problem.

I had been battling for a few hours a few evenings past checking this and that making sure all the coding looks correct and nothing is interfering between stream deck and DCS and of course it turns out I was opening DCS in admin mode. Schoolboy error I know but this singular cockup wasted so much time. It's not even as if I wasn't aware of admin mode and W10 causing stuff like this.

Hi, I used (use) publisher V1 with elgato stream deck. Now want to add V2 to stream deck. But I can't choose the Publisher2.exe as Elgato-Profile in windowsApp folder, because it's not a real .exe-File.
Therefore I can't use elgato with the new Publisher2 (Photo2 and Designer2), what is in my case not acceptable.
Any clue to solve this?

Regards, Michael.

Can you trigger shortcuts on the Streamdeck? You could register keyboard-shortcuts for the apps, if not directly, then via Autohotkey. I do that a lot with a Streamdeck-like solution. I even was able to have the shortcut either open the app, or focus it, depending on the state of the app. All of the in-app-shortcuts still work, so I don't even have to rebuild the pages with the buttons with in-app-functions. Just add new ones for new functions...

Ok, I see. With my macrodeck solution (Touchportal), I have a similar option, it gets triggered by the name of the process (or part of the name). I set it up, so a button on the main page switches to the app-page and simultaneously starts the app (by exe, bat or whatever). When the app is running, I can use the process name to autonavigate to that page when the app gets focus.

While one could call the app with a compiled ahk-script (resulting in an exe-file) this probably does not help as the streamdeck needs to check if the app has focus, and the ahk-exe will not get the focus with the app.
