For the second time, I'm getting the recognition issue. I cannot remember for the life of me what I did last time, but this time it refuses to be recognized. It works on other computers, and worked on this one yesterday. Nothing has changed on this computer. The firmware program will not work if the device is still unrecognized. There needs to be much more support around this error.
29 December 2018: My Samson Q2U USB microphone still has the recognition issue, even after implementing all the recommended fixes below in Windows 10. This is so disappointing, how do I claim a refund for an unusable product ?
My samson Go Mic Connect it's getting recognized as "USB Advanced Audio Device" since yesterday, i've tried at 3 different computers and i get the same result. Even i've tried reinstalling the drivers.
I followed the steps suggested in the attached PDF. What I discovered is that the VID and PID of the microphone as reported to Windows is NOT correct. It is reporting VID_0D8C&PID_0170 which is a C-Media Electronics Inc Advanced Audio Device.
It seems I having a problem similar to Mr. Chris Fischer. My mic is a C01u pro and it is reporting the same VID and PID as his mic (VID_0D8C&PID_0170) without apparent cause. Unfortunately, I live in Brasil and technical assistance costs are impracticable. It seems the product lost its original firmware...

1 Type Control Panel in the search box.
2 Click Control Panel.
3 Type Power Options.
4 Click Choose what the power buttons do.
5 Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
6 Scroll down to Shutdown settings and uncheck Turn on fast startup.
Click Save changes.
Did anyone find the solution for samson c01u pro firmware loss? After a unexplicable firmware loss, its VID and PID became (VID_0D8C&PID_0170). As I live in brasil, repair costs are impracticable. If you had the same problem and see this message, please post your solution here, since samson just told me to find a technical assistance.
I found another user had a similar problem about 6 years ago and posted a solution at github, but I am not shure if the microphone circutry changed since then. If I just apply the firmware upgrade, I could brick my unit. Best regards.
I am unable to use a Samson USB CO1U microphone on a PC running XP, SP3. When I plug it into the USB port, Windows generates the sound indicating that it has found new hardware, and the green LED on the mic lights. But, it does not work, and the device manager reports that it cannot find a driver after searching. The same mic works on a Vista machine.
As an aside, I contacted Samson support about this mic: they had a specialized driver, but it was poorly written and introduced cracks, pops, ticking noises, clipping, etc. into the recorded audio. Samson support suggested that I uninstall their driver and let windows update pick it back up -- and this worked marvelously.
Everytime I play King of the hill mode, it happens when i play 5 minutes or 40 minutes, doesent metter, I occur game freeze and than crash. When I use ctrl alt del combination and close game via task manager, Arma shows info:
I checked tempreture each time after crash. I have windforce on my graphic card and when I'm playing arma I don't hear often when the fans are running so I guess temperature here is fine. On other games fans are working so there is no problem with them.
CPU temp is good also.

Yesterday I also tried to uninstall graphic driver and install one more time new one. For uninstallation I used DDU app and than I downloaded new radeon drivers from official page.
Unfortunately I'm still having same problem. "Device removed" crash and then Arma report bug shows reason DEAD 0x000000 or something like that :(
This is infact not a probem with arma! Its a problem with windows 10 after the creation update. I had the issue myself, and the only way to fix it was to install an earlier version of windows. I ended up getting a free version of windows 8. Infact arma 3 runs better in Windows 8 than 10. The game dosent crash when you tab out, and i seem to get a better framerate.
Nope :( The only third party soft which is similar to this which you mentioned is Steelseries Engine 3 for my mouse Rival 300. Also i Have connected mic Samson C01U Pro but I'm not using any softwere besides drivers downloaded by windows.
