to Verizon is Evil
1. Ordered a netbook through Verizon. On the phone, the offer was for
the top of the line netbook. They sent the wrong netbook. I had to go
to their store. They charged me $50 more.
2. The netbook was supposed to come with a rebate. I sent in the box
side, all of the forms, and I know I put everything in perfectly. They
'denied the rebate' based on some 'incomplete information'. In the
denial mail, they sent a link to a 'rebate center website' which asked
for a username and password. My customer information didn't work here.
For all intents and purposes, I think this was set up as a scam and
there was no inside to the site.
3. Multitudes of form letters later, Verizon issued me a credit of
$30.
That was the second problem I'd had with them. The first was when I
ordered my original phone, and they sent me two phones by mistake,
tried to bill me for the second phone.
On a number of occasions, my bill has been double what I expected, and
while I paid it anyway, I am disgruntled and will probably not renew
with Verzion at the end of my contract.
I keep the phone because I need a phone, but I don't like them and
don't recommend them.
