Start the timeline display at the far left?

The default display of the starting nav line is in the middle of the timeline. Is there any way you can move this start line to display on the left of the timeline instead of in the middle? 

There is quite a bit of gray space on the left and I'd like the dates to be spread across the entire timeline.

There's no support for this right now. Remember that while you may have dates which could spread across the entire timeline, TimelineJS has to be flexible enough to handle different cases, including many where the events wouldn't fit in the available space for the timeline.
