Happy Spring Break Week!

I hope that all of you have had a nice week!  Whether you knew it was Spring Break and had a vacation, whether you knew it was Spring Break and had a stay-cation, or even if you had no idea it was even Spring Break, I hope that this email finds you all doing well.  

We are 2/12 through the Minor Prophets and are diving headlong into Amos this Sunday, Lord-willing.  He differs from our previous two books (Hosea & Joel) in that he is a simple shepherd-farmer and certainly not a graduate of Israel's School of Prophetry (that's a joke in case you're uncertain).  He's from the South (Tekoa precisely---a small town in Judah) and God sends him north to Israel.  He is sent at a time in which Israel (the Northern nation) is all business and business is good.  He enters the scene like Larry the Cable Guy entering the Yacht Club.  Needless to say, his message is like fingernails to chalkboard as he comes to report God's assessment of the hearts of His people.  

Yet, there is a message of hope for those who return to the Lord.  Come join me this Sunday as we dig further into the cleanest pages of our Bibles. :)
