I just installed Vercue today. I'm evaluating it as an upgrade to SVN
Monitor which I've been using for about a month. I was very pleased
with the previous application and am looking forward to using Vercue.

Problem: Vercue cannot access one of my sources. Next to this source
is a gray circle with a dash in the middle. The tool tip states that
it "Can't access host'.

I have five sources that are working fine. The sixth one, however,
cannot be accessed. The only difference I can see is that the host
that cannot be accessed is referenced by its IP Address rather than a
machine name. Is this a known problem for Vercue? It was not a problem
with SVN Monitor.

Thank you,
Mark

Hi Mark,
Vercue first tries to ping the remote host before accessing the svn repository. This should save traffic time and decrease load.
However, sometimes a host does not respond to ping requests (any reason is possible, such as firewall blocking). In such cases, Vercue can be configured to ignore no-ping responses.

In the Options dialog, under "Sources", check the "Ignore No-Ping" option.

Adrian,

Wonderful! That did it.

Thank you for the quick response.
