Is there any easy way to cover these links to some format that hugo can process?
Is any way to just cover README.md to the default page(index.html)?
Is any good way to make markdown links works well with hugo and GitHub at the same time?

I am creating standard project tasks from a template and am stuck with writing a formula that creates a comma-separated text string from the names of linked records but also adds the project name to the front of each record name in order to make it a unique name.

I have the following function that is converting found links into mailto links, but it only seems to work for the first found link. Any subsequent links (2nd, 3rd occurrence etc.) remain as plain text links. I can't seem to figure out what I might be doing wrong. Any help would be much appreciated!

and you want to replace grass with an internal link like [[Grasslandgrass]]. Is there a shortcut to do it, when the cursor is on grass? I could use 'Add internal link', but that seems to add work rather than simplify. I find having to deal with aliases while typing is quite slowing me down. How do you deal with it?

I am currently making something for my employer which allows the employees to upload various pictures through a form and submit them into a sheet. I have that part nailed down but I do not know how to convert those links into the 'Chips' automatically. I can mouse over each link and click it individually but that will just take up too much time. Anyone know how to do this?

I've tested this on my RE450v3 and RE650v1, and it works well on both devices but as always caution is advised when flashing your devices. Looking through the tplink-safeloader source code should provide a list of which other TP-Link devices this tool will work for - it's quite a few.

TL;DR: I found that if I copy a URL from Microsoft Edge's address bar, the HTML format in Windows clipboard contains not only the URL but also the title. Therefore, it is possible to paste it as a markdown link with both title and URL without additional web requests. Initially I tried to change Joplin's source code but later realized I can just make a plugin, so I made it. Here is the link:

Previously there was already some discussion on the link preview feature. The main concern of this feature is that it introduces additional web request, which may have a negative impact on the privacy side. See Feature request: link preview - Features - Joplin Forum (joplinapp.org).

However as an Edge browser user, I noticed that when I try to copy a link (by put my cursor on the address bar, press Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste it into Typora, a Markdown link with title and URL filled in will be generated.

It seems that Microsoft Edge introduced a new clipboard format named Link Format on Aug 2020, which is just a JSON with all the metadata of a link. An example of such JSON is shown below. Beside this new clipboard format, Edge also sets HTML Format and Titled Hyperlink Format, but InsideClipboard can't read them.

If Typora as an Electron app can implement this feature (automatically generate Markdown link), there should be no problem for Joplin to do so. I tried to create a very basic Electron demo, which seems to able to get both the title and URL when copied from Edge (but sadly not other browsers), using the clipboard.readHTML() method. (It seems to use the HTML Format clipboard format.) Here are the results of various clipboard functions after I copied the link in previous JSON example from Edge.

It can be seen that the return value of clipboard.readHTML contains all the info to build a Markdown link, therefore eliminating the need to initiate additional requests as well as the risk of privacy leak. Although this feature is only applicable to Microsoft Edge user, but considering the market share of Windows and the number of users using its default browser, this feature should make the life easier for a lot of people.

With some further examination, it seems that there is already some code in HtmlToMd.ts to accomplish the task of converting HTML to Markdown, but they are only invoked when using the rich text editor. As there are some limitations on the rich text editor, I haven't use it for a long time and has disabled access to it via some custom CSS.

With some more tinkering I managed to create a simple plugin, Edge Link MD, which just automatically converts the URL to a markdown link if the URL is copied from Microsoft Edge address bar. By default it uses Ctrl+Shift+V as keyboard shortcut, but you may change it or just use the menu item. Hope this helps other Windows users.

I need to convert columns of cells with HYPERLINK formulas into cells with just the friendly_name hyperlinked to link_location. For instance, =HYPERLINK(" =en&q="&SUBSTITUTE(A2," ","+")&"&tbm=isch&gws_rd=ssl","G images") to a cell that just has G images in it and is hyperlinked to the hyperlink that the formula produces, e.g. =en&q=search+term&tbm=isch&gws_rd=ssl. I can do this by pasting into Word and pasting back into Excel, but I need to do it within Excel, whether by some copy/paste trick or a macro.

Bitly has enabled us to build trust with clients by giving them branded short links that carry the main message of the link and that carries our brand. Bitly also gives us data analytics on who is clicking our links which helps us carry the clients forward in the advertising process.

Think of a short URL as a more descriptive and memorable nickname for your long webpage address. You can, for example, use a short URL like bit.ly/CelebrateBitly so people will have a good idea about where your link will lead before they click it.

How many people can even remember a long web address, especially if it has tons of characters and symbols? A short URL can make your link more memorable. Not only does it allow people to easily recall and share your link with others, it can also dramatically improve traffic to your content.

There are several benefits of branding your short links. Branded links build trust between your audience and your business, drive more clicks, give your audience a preview of where they are being taken and increase brand awareness.

In the Description field, if you switch the viewing option from Visual to Text, you will see the URL is coded with Wiki style format [link title ]. If you don't want the page title, you will need to edit the content by removing [link title and the last ] character.

I regularly paste up to a hundred URL's in a single copy/paste action into a field. The new issue view is slow to respond. I have added several lines of text before these conversions get noticed. Using Ctrl-Z to go back means also I loose my additional text. And only the last converted URL is allowing the option to alter to "Display URL". All the other modified URLs don't offer the option with a single right-mouse click. This option means I waste my

It feels like Jira works against me instead of supporting me (the reason I pay money for it). I often paste up to 50 links per task and it is crucial that the links are visible as URL. To apply the mentioned workaround it would took ages for each single Task I prepare. Also forcing the WYSIWYG as default editor is pain in the ass for power users.

Often, when I paste a link into a document in Google Docs, a pop-up will appear to allow me to replace the text of the link with a clickable "button". The pop-up says "tab to replace with..." and shows the gray button. If I press 'tab', the link is converted to a gray clickable button. The button is oval-shaped, with a light gray background, containing the title of the page that is linked to. For instance, this often happens when pasting links to another Google Doc or to a video on Youtube. However, the behavior is not consistent, and sometimes when I paste a link, it doesn't offer this option.

How do I force Google Doc to offer/create this button? Sometimes, when I paste a link, it doesn't give me the pop-up and there is no option to create the button -- but I want the button. I find the button looks nicer in my document. How do I get the button?

In my case, 100% of the links I add to internal, work emails are links to password-protected websites: BitBucket, Allspice, a private Google Drive etc. The link previews are inevitably ugly "login to view this content" boxes which are LESS than useful, because the raw link actually exposes useful information: repository, branch, filename etc.

This feature is super annoying for people that send e-mails including multiple links and build up their own workflow for that over years and it's absolutely unbelievable that there is no option to turn this off.

The user of the excel has to enable DDE , by which excel will auto enable any string or text that is present in the workbook as a hyper link. User can hold Ctrl + Click to navigate to the location. This may however not work withany Intranet , FTP location within your internal network.

The 'Text' tool in the reporting suite allows you to create a hyperlink, we can then bring this together using the table tool (and apply any formatting you want), and then use the 'render' tool to output this as an .xlsx output.

I have similar case where attached is the input excel file where column document name and document number is having hyperlink attached to it. Need help in related to how to retain hyperlinks in those two column in the output excel file
