Ihave 2 other working KP303 power strips which are both on firmware version 1.0.4 so I would expect the faulty strip should also be on version 1.0.4. I don't know how to manually update the firmware on them.
If smart device still broadcasts default SSID or obtain IP address from router , we might have a way to update the firmware,if it is totally dead with no SSID broadcasting even after factory reset, I'm afraid it is defective on its hardware and need a replacement. Thank you for helping with troubleshooting, have a nice day!
The Plugable 12-Outlet Power Strip with 2-Port USB Charger (PS12-USB25) can help expand and declutter your power needs by offering 12 additional standard US 3-prong grounded power outlets, with sliding safety covers, in one elegant package. Its compact design and lengthy cable make it very easy to create the perfect all-in-one power setup for the home or office. Four outlets are widely spaced to fit large "wall wart" power adapter bricks.
With the permanently-attached 25ft cable, this surge suppressor can be located nearly anywhere you need power. From the desktop, under the desk, or across the room, you can provide protected power and USB charging to those hard-to-reach areas.
It can provide data transfer rates up to the USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 gbps) specification depending on the host and device, but does not directly support video in the way that USB-C Alternate Mode does. This limitation makes DisplayLink USB graphics adapters and docking stations ideal on systems that do not have USB-C, or in instances where more displays are needed beyond available video outputs of a PC.
This type of connection comes in a couple different styles depending on whether USB 3.0 and higher transfer rates are supported (bottom graphic). Usually this type of connection is used to plug into USB devices that do not have a fixed cable connected, such as USB docking stations, USB hubs, printers, and others.
One of the first connectors for charging a smartphone, wireless game controller (such as the Sixaxis and DualShock 3), and other small devices such as external hard drives. Not commonly used today, but is still used in some cases. Most devices using USB Mini B are using USB 2.0, though a USB 3.0 variant does exist. This specification also added USB On-The-Go (OTG) functionality, though it is more commonly implemented with Micro USB.
A smaller connector that serves many of the same uses as the Mini B connector, with added optional features such as Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) to allow devices like smartphones to output video to larger displays without requiring a dedicated port for video output.
The most recent USB connection, USB Type-C (USB-C), represents a major change in what USB can do. The connector is smaller, can be connected in two orientations, is able to carry substantially more power and data, and can directly carry video signals of multiple types (HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.) Intel has also adapted the USB-C connector for use with Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4.

The rocker switch on our surge protectors isn't just a simple on/off switch, it's a 15A (Amps) circuit breaker similar to what can be found in most household power panels. If the switch on your surge protector will not stay in the RESET position, there are a few possible causes.

16 outlet power strip designed specifically to be mounted to the vertical leg section of an equipment rack. This is the perfect way to extend the protection and filtration from an existing Panamax or Furman power conditioner.
Simply attach mounting clips in desired location for an easy installation. Snap the VT-EXT into clips for a sturdy and secure fit and plug into a Panamax/Furman power conditioner. The plastic spacers in clips provide ground isolation from the rack.
Need more outlets in a rack, cabinet, or under a desk? Save yourself a trip to the hardware store by stocking your truck with WattBox power strips. Attach one to a wall, in the back of a cabinet, or zip tied to the inside of a rack rail to gain six additional outlets for powering equipment. A slim design means these power strips fit in tight spaces, while four keyholes make mounting simple. And of course we include mounting templates to make sure you get them positioned perfectly, every time.
You never have to worry about overloading this power strip and damaging your equipment. A dedicated on/off switch with a built-in 15A circuit breaker will automatically disconnect the power strip if overload occurs.
Improper use of flexible and temporary wiring such as extension cords, multi-outlet adapters, uninterruptible power supplies, and power strips can present both fire and electrical shock hazards. The following are guidelines for proper use of extension cords and power strips at TWU.
An example of acceptable extension cord use would be a custodian using one with a vacuum to clean a hallway carpet. An example of unacceptable use is to connect a computer to an outlet under your desk with an extension cord.
Power strips, multi-outlet adapters, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs) are acceptable IF they have a resettable circuit breaker and are plugged directly into a properly installed outlet.
Larger appliances, such as microwaves and refrigerators, may not be plugged into a power strip or extension cord. Such appliances must be plugged directly into a properly installed outlet.
All extension cords, power strips, multi-outlet adapters, and UPSs must be listed by a nationally recognized testing lab (e.g. UL Listed) and so marked. "Homemade" extension cords fabricated out of a length of wire and an outlet box are not permitted!
Never overload outlets or power strips; tripping circuit breakers are a warning sign not to be ignored! If you have questions about the amount of equipment that may be plugged into an outlet or power strip, contact EH&S.
When using electrical equipment, including extension cords, near any source of moisture (including outdoors), the equipment must be plugged into a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) equipped outlet or a GFCI adapter plugged directly into the outlet.
Never use extension cords or power strips that have any signs of damage or overheating. This includes any indication of damage to the insulation, such as a cord wrapped with electrical tape.
A surge protector protects valuable electronics from damaging power surges and lightning strikes. Its light identifies if the unit is grounded and offers high-capacity surge protection for all devices. It also has multiple outlet variations to accommodate any setup throughout the home.
Our surge protectors work by absorbing the electrical surge energy or short-term abnormal electrical energy into heat, saving the connected devices from absorbing this excess power and overheating or short-circuiting.
