Kaltura allows you to make changes to videos after they have already been uploaded into your My Media page. You can alter the video description, adjust which formats are available for download, and even replace the video file entirely. If you would like to learn more, you can consult the directions below, and/or view Kaltura Support's Kaltura Editor Course playlist containing short video tutorials.

You are now on your video editing page where you can modify the video's settings and parameters. There are several options here: details, options, thumbnails, downloads, captions, attachments, and replace video.

This tab presents a few more options for your video. Marking the Disable comments for this media checkbox turns off the comment area for your video, preventing users from posting or seeing video comments. The Close Discussions checkbox prevents additional comments from being made on the video. Checking the Enable everyone to create clips from this video box will permit other users to take clips of your video for their own use.

The Thumbnails tab allows you to change the thumbnail image for the video. You can either upload one from your computer, capture it with a webcam, or have Kaltura pick a still from the video to use automatically

You can choose whether to allow your students or colleagues to download your video. If you wish to allow them to download it, you can select from a variety of download file format options. Simply check the box for the video format you want to make available for download.

Though Kaltura automatically captions all videos, you can alter those captions if desired. The Edit Captions button will allow you to go into the video and edit the displayed captions frame-by-frame. The Upload captions file button will permit you to upload additional captions files (e.g., captions in another language). The table below these buttons will display all the currently loaded caption files for that video, along with the language, label, and file type of the caption file in question. The "Actions" cell of this table will permit you to confirm, edit, delete, or re-upload (in left to right order) each respective captions file.

The Attachments tab permits the inclusion of attached files to your video via the Upload File button. Below this button is a table displaying the currently loaded attachments for your video, as well as their file name, title, description, size, and date of upload. Each row also has an "Actions" cell that will permit you to edit, delete, or re-upload (in left to right order) that attachment.

The Replace Video tab is where you can replace your video's original source file with another version. You can upload a file from your current device by clicking the Upload from Desktop button, or pull a video from a web page by clicking the Upload from URL button.

To the right of the video, you will see a Launch Editor button. Clicking this will take you into Kaltura's direct video-editing tool. Within this editor you can trim the start and/or end of your video, or chop and splice to remove a segment from the middle of your video. For more information on how to use this editing interface, see Kaltura's Editing Media Using the Video Editor resource.

With Canva video editor, you can make high-quality videos without being a professional video editor. Canva allows you to create videos just like you would create a power point presentation, using their extensive library of ready-made templates, or starting from scratch. Upload your own media, or use Canva's library of stock images, videos, elements and music to create a professional-looking video.

Adding text to your slide is very straightforward. If using a template, you can alter the text by editing the one that came with your chosen template, or select other text to include from the Text sidebar.

Any videos in your Echo360 library can be embedded in a Canvas page, discussion, assignment, or anywhere else using the Canvas text editor. This example describes embedding an Echo360 video in an existing Canvas page.

Canvas has a simple, yet powerful, content editor that is available anytime for creating new content. The Rich Content Editor can be found anywhere in Canvas where an instructor or student might want to enter text or other content (Announcements, Assignments, Discussions, Pages, Quizzes, or Syllabus).

There are menus above the toolbar where you can find the all features available in the RCE. Previously some options were only available by keyboard inputs or were hidden. A few lesser-used features are only available in the menus and not the toolbar, and some users prefer menus over toolbars.

The buttons for Panopto and Office 365 are top-level buttons in the RCE. Additional integrations are available by clicking the Apps button [2]. Click View All to see a list of available integrations and click on the title from the menu that pops up to select it. The RCE may place recently used integrations in a short quick-list under the plugin button.

The status bar under the menu has been improved and is easier to read. Here you can find Raw HTML Editor mode [4] and the Accessibility Checker [3], as well as a Keyboard Shortcuts reminder, and a button to go Fullscreen [5] so you can focus on your content. (Press escape to exit fullscreen mode.) The handle in the bottom right corner to resize the editing window is also now more noticeable.

Once you have inserted an image (or link, table, and so on), click on it to reveal an options button for it. Clicking on this button will open the right fly-out to set options for that item. These buttons can appear above or below the item depending on where there is space available for the button to appear. Click the X in the top right corner of the fly-out to close it.

MathJax is now available throughout much of Canvas, which works in conjunction its existing LaTeX math editor. This allows you to include math notation in places where it was previously not possible, and is friendlier for accessibility. Formula input is still done by LaTeX, but Canvas will use MathJax to render it to viewers. Links to documentation for MathJax are in the documentation section below.

We recommend you directly embed YouTube videos using the integration if possible for the best viewing experience. As an alternative, you can just paste the link in to the editor area (not using the link tool, but just paste it) and Canvas will generate a preview automatically.

The related new features (MathJax and YouTube) may not be active until their later rollout, but the rest of the changes and features are already available. To enable the new RCE, follow these directions and refer to the screenshot below them.
