Experience does help in getting confidence of VC firms. Firms look at worst case scenario and the challenges involved. With relevent experience you can explain them your ideas in a better way. But what matters more is your business model and attitude. You need to explain how would you generate revenue from your business and need to show them that you are really serious about the venture. Also, your estimates should be realistic and should be less linked to external environment.
