Users establish client connections to VMware View sessions by running the VMware View Client, through a web browser using HTML5,[9] or using a thin client that supports the protocols in use. The VMware View client supports Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux, while ChromeOS is able to connect through the web browser.
I'm trying to find a way to get the horizon client version connected to a VDI with no success at this moment.
Already tried with Horizon Toolbox but I'm getting stuck with the "Input Passwords" popup
We use VMWare Horizon Client to access resources hosted by one of our vendors. We were informed by our vendor that we need to update all our clients to version 8. When trying to install the latest version (8.11.1 / 2309.1) our Windows 10 laptops blue screen about 75% of the way through the installation. This happens if we leave the old version installed or uninstall it prior to installing the latest version. Eventually the install will work but that typically involves multiple install attempts and multiple blue screens.
Fire up a HyperV client machine. Take a snapshot of the registry before the Horizon install. Install Horizon and once its finished, take another full registry backup.
Use something like WinDiff to be able to compare the two and see the changes that the install made. You should be able to single out what needs to be deleted. That should then sort you out.
Other options like Revo Uninstaller may help too. That will see whats in the installed apps list, try to uninstall the usual way and then will be able to do a registry interrogation to see any associated keys etc. You can then select to delete them.

VDI requires a modern laptop, PC, or tablet.
In general most laptops that are less than 4 years old will run the VDI client without an issue. More detailed laptop requirements can be found in our student guide.
For Teams AV optimization in VDI environments to work properly, the thin-client device must have access to the internet. If internet access isn't available at the thin-client device, optimization startup won't be successful. This means that the user is in a non-optimized media state.

In my scenario I have to copy files from shared folder in vmware horizon client into local machine for DU process. Post DU process again i have to create separate folder in shared folder(vmware horizon client ) with current date and paste the file. Thankyou in advance

I tested running the image with the arguments provided and it works great, but the version of the VMWare Horizon client that the image has does not have an updated SSL library and cannot connect to the servers I need it to without throwing an SSL error.
