No, I manually select the driver that I've down loaded and it still fails. I already tried that method and posted the result back in Apr 4, 2020 12:48 PM and forward. Again, it works on other iPhones such as 5, 6, and 7 just not my 11 Pro max.
The driver provides read and write access for Seagate external drives in Windows without having to reformat.Note: Not compatible with drives formatted with Apple File System (APFS).
I drilled down into the downloaded Support file folder and found a variety of drivers and driver installation packages, but manually installing those (on a separate Windows 10 computer that I am using for testing) has not worked. In fact, forcing the Apple driver to install on the test Windows 10 computer results in it not even detecting the Magic Trackpad as an input device at all, and it won't let me remove the device either.
I have been searching for a solution for this for ages. Just found out one difference between W11 Home and W11 Pro is no mobile device drivers on the Home version. Very hard to force downloads or updates.
Firstly regards the crash make sure you installed the 1.3 version of the driver, not the old one. You could download it directly from the Manufacturers Website in case they have issued an update since I wrote this page.

DisplayLink Manager is a new way to enable your DisplayLink dock, adapter or monitor on macOS platforms. It's an application that combines our latest driver with features that streamline the setup of mutliple displays up to 4K.
Windows Users: This release requires the use of the Windows Legacy FireWire driver on Windows 7 64-bit. Windows 7 32-bit users should however use the default Windows 7 FireWire driver.
This release has a version of the driver that has been signed to be compatible with Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite. If you are running Mac OS 10.8 Mountain Lion or earlier please refer to the driver versions below.
Windows 10/11 PC users never had to manually install iPhone drivers in order to back up or sync iPhones to Windows PC using iTunes. This seems to have changed with the Store version of the iTunes app for Windows 10/11.
Step 2: In the Device Manager window, look for Portable devices (your iPhone must be connected to your PC). Expand Portable devices entry to see Apple iPhone entry. Right-click on the iPhone entry and then click the Update driver option.
Step 3: In the resulting dialog, click Search automatically for the updated driver software option. Windows 10 will automatically download and install the required drivers for your iPhone.
Step 3: Visit this page of Apple and then download the iTunes setup file. Once downloaded, run the setup file to complete the installation. This should install the required iPhone drivers.
I have an issue where my bootcamp install of Windows 10 has nonworking audio drivers and wireless networking drivers after installing the default selection of cross platform mobile development pieces.
On my system this is 100% replicable. All i have to do is create a bootcamp install of windows 10 64 bit. Install visual studio keep defaults. download and install the Xamarin for Visual Studio keep defaults.
After rebooting the sound driver has a red circle white x. Wireless networking has a red circle white x. Both drivers report all is well but neither work. I have tried reinstalling the drivers from the apple drivers... I don't recall the name of the drivers installer.
Chimera versions are available for X windows and for native Aqua windows. We recommend the X windows version because of themany problemswith the current port of the Aqua Tk window toolkit that Chimera uses.
To run the X windows version of Chimera you must have an X serverinstalled and running. We recommend Apple's X server. The Apple web site only has the X server for Mac OS 10.3 at this time(Nov 6, 2003). The older X server for Mac OS 10.2 was removed fromApple's web site and we do not know if a new version for 10.2 will beprovided.
Bouncing icon problem. The Chimera icon will continue to bounce in theDock for about a minute after Chimera has been started. One way to avoid this visual annoyance is to turn offbouncing icons by switching off "Animate opening applications"in Dock preferences (under the Apple menu). This behaviour results from Chimera being an X windowsapplication instead of a native Aqua application.
Clicking to activate windows. Two X windows preference settings help avoid extra mouse clicks whenusing Chimera dialogs. When you move the mouse from one Chimera window to another you canautomatically have the new window activated without requiring a mouseclick. Set this "focus follows mouse" preference by typing the followingcommand in a Mac Terminal window.
When you are using a native Mac application (not X windows)and then click on a menu within the Chimera window the mouse click doesnot bring up the menu. It just activates the Chimera window and anothermouse click is needed to show the menu. To make this work with a singlemouse click use the Mac X server wm_click_through preferenceby typing the following command in a Mac Terminal window.
Bonds disappear with PDB large models.Bonds in wire display mode appear correctly when a large model (eg 1aon)is first open, but then many of them disappear when the model is moved. This is an OpenGL driver bug in Mac OS 10.2.6 that is fixed in 10.2.8.
These system crashes occur with both the X windows and Aqua versionsof Chimera. When a system crash occurs, the screen is grayed and you are asked torestart the computer. These crashes are caused by graphics driver bugs in Mac OS 10.2.4and earlier Mac OS 10.2 releases. They are fixed in Mac OS 10.2.5.
On Mac OS 10.2 you can use theXFree86X server. An installer for the Mac is available from theXonXproject. The XFree86 X server for the Mac is sometimescalled XDarwin and there is anXDarwin web sitethat provides some useful information but makes it difficult todownload the free copy, perhaps to encourage CD sales. The Apple X server is also built from XFree86 code butincludes the (proprietary) Quartz window manager. We have used theOroborOSXwindow manager with XFree86 to give the X windows similar appearanceand behaviour as Aqua windows. You should use XFree86 4.3.0 or more recent since earlier versionsdid not support hardware accelerated OpenGL (3D graphics).Accelerated OpenGL greatly speeds up rotating and moving largemolecules in Chimera.
The commercial XTools X server (August 2002) from Tenon has hardwareOpenGL acceleration but did not work adequately for Chimera. Menussometimes appear behind windows. Some Chimera windows may resize tobe tiny. Numerous OpenGL error message are generated.
