Brilliant - This is not as complicated as it looks and all the setings can be done using the presets,which work really well,I'm using an amp and stereo speakers in my den,which gives me great sound with 100watt power.I use the "very soft" compression preset most of the time but some of the other presets work great.I dont know why this plugin is not used by everyone??? - October 22, 2008 by Norman Dittberner

Very Effective - This is a useful tool if you like to tweak up aspects of your audio playback. There is noticable lag in responce, which is basically due to the plugin trying to catchup with the playback and buffer up the data. Recommend this if you want to tweak your audio further than whats given with Winamp's onboard EQ. Used with Klipsch 2.1 system. - July 19, 2008 by Michael Greigh
Great Tool! - This audio tool is great, even if you don't like using compression, it still has other settings that may come in handy. One major downside, Stereo Tool still doesn't support multichannel processing. The license from stereotool must be be placed in stereotool not in mairlist. In the encoder (mairlist) can you ad stereotool, when you open the soundproccesie you see 3tabs config opens stereotool and there you place the license. And change presets.
I use stereo tool + winamp and jmpx RDS encoder to run my radio station 7 watts. The audio will buffer, stop for a short period of time, and just stutter. It's not my transmitter. I listened to my computer with headphones and it's winamp. I have a Dell =cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_PysjEb4VJQY3F for reference.
Paul, I had found wide variations in quality from sound cards making the stereo encoding hit or miss. A couple of my HobbyBroadcaster.net forum participants had used this and another similar program having a built-in stereo coder but for reliable operation the card should have a high sampling rate (192 seems to work quite well).
Configure stereo tool to grab the output from your playout software and then you have access to single band and multi-band compressors, limiters and levellers which will produce a less dynamic and more uniform output. Every station has their own idea of their sound so play away with the tools until you get a sound your happy with.
