"A dedicated family member/caregiver of a 12-year paralyzed vent user who understands how difficult it may be to afford medication is offering a limited number financial assistance grants to people who require any inhaled medication (ex: Mucomyst,Tobi, Cayston, Pulmozyme, etc.) but have trouble affording it.
"To qualify for a one time grant up to $500, proof (pharmacy receipt) must be submitted of inhaled medication purchase and the amount insurance paid and the amount the patient paid out of pocket. Also the patient must show that they have exhausted other forms of financial assistance, including use of their insurance, co-pay cards, manufacturers' assistance programs (check out Novartis Patient Assistance Foundation, Cayston Access Program, Genentech, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Patient Assistance Foundation, needymeds.org, etc.) or explain why they do not qualify for these programs. The patient does not need to have or disclose any specific diagnosis, and no doctors' prescription or note is necessary.
"Distribution of grants is at the sole discretion of the individual offering the grant. The total amount of funds available for such grants is limited, and when that amount has been exhausted, no more grants will be available. Grants are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis for anyone who qualifies by currently taking an inhaled medication and provides the proper documentation as outlined above.
