Kære alle

De seneste dage har der været fejl på noget centralt udstyr, hvilket har påvirket at flere ikke har kunnet få internetforbindelsen til at virke.

Vi har omkonfigureret noget centralt udstyr, hvilket burde løse problemet.
Hvis ikke du har forbindelse, så genstart din router for at tvinge den til at bruge den nye konfiguration.
Bruger du ikke en router, men kabel direkte til din computer er det computeren du skal genstarte.

Oplever du stadig problemer, så spørg om hjælp her.

Hej,

Jeg har stadig problemer. Jeg har genstartet routeren, genstartes computeren, tilsluttet kablet direkte til computeren osv .. osv .. intet fungerer.

Jeg kan se, når jeg tilslutter kablet fra stikket i væggen til min computer, at der ikke er noget signal, der kommer. 

Kan du tjekke, at du?

Hi,

I still have problems. I have re-started the router, re-started the computer, connected the cable directly to the computer etc.. etc.. nothing works.

I can see when I connect the cable from the plug in the wall to my computer that there is no signal coming.

Can you check that please?

Jeg vil lige minde folk (herunder også administrator) om, at det ifølge foreningens regler, IKKE er tilladt at have en privat server kørende på ejendommens net.

Vi har også staidg problemer på Vennemindvej 45, 1.tv. Vi har også genstartet router, mac osv. uden at det har hjulpet. Vi håber du kan hjælpe?

Det forstår jeg ikke. Har du mulighed for at logge ind på routeren og finde ud af hvilken ip-adresse og dns din router tildeles.

Your sitatuation has been different from everyone else:

Two days ago you had connected your router incorrectly, probably you put the cable from the wall outlet to one of the lan-ports on the router. What happens then is that your router tries to deliver ip-adresses to the whole network. In that case we have no other option than disconnecting your appartment.
Usually users are notified about this automaticly, but due to some administrative error you were never added to the membership database and therefore did not receive any notification. 

Your apartment has now been reconnected - let me know if you still have problems.

Thanks for the clarification.
What is the WAN symbol and the LAN symbol that is used in the plug in the wall ?
I have reconnected now but I still have no connection...

Hi Again,

To avoid further problems, do I need to connect the cable to the WAN port or Ethernet port of my time capsule?
Since I dont have any router at home, the signal comes directly from the wall, I assume I need to connect to the WAN port and not Ethernet, right?

Usually a router has to types of ports:
WAN=World Area Network. This has to be connected to the wall outlet. Somtimes also called "Internet" - it varies from router to router.
LAN=Local Area Network. These can be used to wired devices on your network.

You must never-ever connect a LAN port to the wall outlet.

If you don't have connection now your router probably insists in using the old setup. You might have to do a factory reset to force it to forget the old settings.

Netforbindelse

Jeg sendt et brev til jer i går, hvor jeg bad jer om at løse problemerne der er med netforbindelse. 
Men de tiltage I har lavet har ingen effekt.
Så I må se at finde ud af hvad der sker. Mellem kl. 16.00 og 19.00 ryger forbindelsen og så er det umuligt at komme på igen før kl. 9.00 - 10.00 næste formiddag. 
Det er desuden meget besynderligt at følge trafikstatistikken.
Det ser mærkeligt ud at der i tidsrummet fra kl. 2.00 nat og frem til ca. Kl. 6.00 morgen er oploade på op til 50 mb, men ingen eller kun lidt download (mystisk trafik).
Kan tyde på at nogen har en server der står og arbejder. Administratorerne skal måske undersøge denne trafik nærmere, eller få ekstern ekspertise til at løse problemerne. Så vi igen kan få et velfungerende netværk som vi jo betaler for.

ok.
I did connect the wall outlet to the WAN port. I also did a factory reset of the time capsule.
When I finish the automatic configuration of the timecapsule, it says there is an error. It indicates as there is a double NAT, and asks me to change to Bridge Mode instead of DHCP. When I do that, then I cant reach the internet. The timecapsule is green, but cant reach anything using bridge mode, not even connect to the network. In DHCP mode, I can connect to the network, but cant reach the internet.

just one comment, I can reach the internet if I connect the ethernet cable directly to my pc.

So, a cable directly from the wall outlet to your pc actually works? Well thats good news so far.

Its a mystery to me why it doesnt work with that specific router, even when you have done a reset, though I have heard of other people having problems with Apple products on our network.
I'll have to research that and get back to you. I'm busy so be patient :-/

I still dont have internet while using my router (time capsule).
only when using the cable directly from the wall outlet. 
have you found out anything?
