Senior Payments BA – SAP IDoc & ISO 20022 Migration

  • Job Title: Senior Payments Business Analyst
  • Location: Onsite – Jersey City, NJ
  • Client: Cognizant / JPMC
  • Experience: 10+ Years

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Payments Business Analyst to lead the complex migration from SAP IDoc payment formats to ISO 20022 standards. This role is critical for an enterprise-wide initiative involving Hybrid Address compliance and CBPR+ mandates. You will be responsible for field-level mapping, data dictionary creation, and troubleshooting transformation issues between SAP FI/Treasury modules and global banking channels (SWIFT/H2H).

Key Responsibilities

SAP & ISO 20022 Migration Strategy

  • Message Mapping: Perform granular, field-by-field mapping from SAP IDocs (e.g., PAYEXT, ACC_DOCUMENT) to ISO 20022 formats like pain.001 and pacs.008.
  • Compliance Engineering: Ensure all payment messages meet CBPR+ requirements, specifically addressing structured vs. unstructured "Hybrid Address" mandates.
  • Legacy Transformation: Analyze custom or poorly documented legacy SAP implementations to ensure data integrity during the shift to modern ISO standards.

Payments Operations & Integration

  • Workflow Analysis: Document end-to-end payment processing for Host-to-Host (H2H) and SWIFT channels.
  • Technical Liaison: Act as the primary bridge between SAP functional/technical teams, payment operations, and bank integration units.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve IDoc-related data gaps, mapping errors, and transformation hurdles during testing cycles.

Testing & Documentation

  • Specification Design: Author detailed functional mapping specifications and comprehensive data dictionaries.
  • Cycle Support: Drive SIT and UAT cycles, validating that bank-ready ISO 20022 messages are correctly generated from SAP source data.
  • Production Readiness: Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure a seamless "Go-Live" for newly migrated payment workstreams.

Mandatory Technical Requirements

  1. SAP IDoc Payments: 8+ years of hands-on experience with payment-related IDocs (PAYEXT, etc.) and SAP-to-bank integrations.
  2. Payments Domain: 10+ years of total BA experience in the payments industry.
  3. ISO 20022 Standards: Expert knowledge of CBPR+, ISO XML formats, and Hybrid Address compliance.
  4. SAP FI/Treasury: Strong exposure to SAP Finance or Treasury modules in a global banking context.
  5. Integration Tech: Proven experience with SWIFT messaging and H2H file-based integrations.

Thanks,
