  • Job Title: Web Application Programmer
  • Location: Hybrid – Tallahassee, FL (Must reside in Tallahassee)
  • Pay Rate: $55/hr C2C
  • Client: State of Florida (via Brandt Information Services)
  • Duration: 12+ Months
  • Visa: TN, H4

 

Job Summary

We are seeking a Full Stack .NET Developer with over 8 years of experience to support the State of Florida’s critical application infrastructure. This role is highly specialized, requiring a developer who has worked with state-level financial systems (FLAIR, People First) and federal compliance data (FEMA claims). You will be responsible for end-to-end development using the C# .NET/MVC stack, managing complex SQL Server databases, and deploying secure, accessible applications within Azure Cloud environments.

 

Key Responsibilities & Required Skills

.NET Application Development

  • Full Stack Execution: Design and maintain web applications using C# .NET, MVC, and AngularJS.
  • Frontend & Accessibility: Implement responsive interfaces using JavaScript/jQuery and HTML, ensuring strict adherence to web accessibility standards.
  • Integration Services: Develop and consume RESTful web services using JSON and XML for seamless data transport between state agencies.

Database & Reporting

  • SQL Development: Architect complex database schemas, including stored procedures, triggers, and views in SQL Server.
  • State Financial Data: Process and analyze FLAIR data and People First service costing information.
  • FEMA Analytics: Specialized handling of data collection and calculation related to FEMA claims analysis.
  • Business Intelligence: Design and generate detailed reports using SSRS to support agency decision-making.

Azure DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure

  • Cloud Operations: Manage build and release pipelines, Azure SQL, and cloud configurations within an Azure environment.
  • Platform Support: Administer and troubleshoot IIS (Internet Information Services) environments for client-server stability.
  • Application Hardening: Apply advanced IT security standards, including data encryption and code hardening, to protect sensitive state data.

 

Mandatory Technical Requirements

  1. C# .NET & MVC: 5+ years of core development experience.
  2. SQL Server & SSRS: 3+ years of expert-level database development and reporting.
  3. State/Federal Domain: Proven experience with FLAIR, People First, or FEMA claims data.
  4. Azure DevOps: 3+ years managing pipelines and cloud-native services.
  5. Location: Must currently reside in or be willing to work locally in Tallahassee, FL.
