News and Palm Spring Informations

Hello everyones,

I want to let everyone know that we have a new member.  His name is Thomas(Tom) Le.  He is related and friend with the last 2 new members Andy and Quy.  He has been riding with us a few times and finally join our club.  Please help me to welcome Thomas to our VV family.

Housing:

If you need a place to sleep before the big ride, bring a sleeping bag, earplugs, and join us. The club rented a 3 bed/bath house, located 9 miles from the start line and 9 miles from Nhat's house for dinner.  

Nhat house:

48751 Shady View Drive, Palm Desert, CA 92260

Airbnb house:

 68200 Valley Vista Dr, Cathedral City, CA 92234. 

1) The majority of us will drive to Palm Springs Friday morning.

2) Pick up the registration at 12PM.

3) If you need me to pick up the registration for you and give it to you later at Nhat's house or Airbnb house, let me know.

4) Bar hop or walk around down town for a while to pick up girls, hmm...just kidding.

5) Drive to Nhat's house about 20 miles away.

6) Help him preparing dinner and start drinking...wait wait,...we'd have already started since the morning in OC :).

7) Dinner will start around 5-6PM.  Beer, Whisky and Foods will be included.

8) Drive back to Airbnb house around 9-10PM.

9) Everyone needs to be at the event's parking lot by 5:45AM. Exact location will follow later.

10) Be at the Start line at 6:10AM. I want all of us to be in front of the peleton for group photos.

11) Ride will start at 6:30AM. BE ON-TIME. We won't wait for you if you're late. 

12) If you missed us at the start line, look for bring YELLOW jersey at SAG 17 miles.

13) They have SAG at mile 17, 42.5, 65, 90, We will stop at every SAG briefly accept for the 42.5 to have lunch.

14) We will finish by 12:30 PM because we will ride 22 MPH steady.

15) We will have lunch together as a team after the ride. Hope everyone can stick around for that.
