weekly meetup?

hello velocrew,

i know we talked about trying to meet up wednesdays, but i'm playing a show (at ella st social club, downtown) and won't be able to make it. beyond that, my thursday evening is also booked! any chance y'all can make it some other night this week?

i foresee our immediate goal being the creation of a library for accessing velocity, acceleration, and other sensor data (compass, etc). using this library, i'd like to see us write a few demo applications:

• sequencer - a step sequencer's tempo is mapped to bicycle velocity, accelerometer is mapped to oscillator modulation
• augmented reality - a heading is calculated from the digital compass. each direction (N, S, E, W) has its own specific sound, which is mixed depending on the direction the cyclist is headed.
• network - call-and-response audio feedback is generated between bicycles within a microlocal data network.

i should have ezra's unit debugged and working by the time we meet up again. hopefully the sun will continue to shine, and we can get this stuff off the ground!

I am back from Ohio (after spending a night in the wonderful O'Hare airport) and totally excited to start velosynthing. I'm pretty much free any night this week, including tonight. Next week, I'm busy Monday night and probably Thursday night too.

I think you're right-on with these priorities. None of these ideas should be too difficult to implement – I bet we'll be able to prototype all of them within the next few weeks.
