Notifications about Velociraptor

Hi,

is there some way of getting notified when there is a new Velociraptor release?

Probably I could subscribe to this google group but (as of now) I'm really just interested in this one event (and maybe security issues) as I need to handle this with a higher priority.

For other projects I usually just use github for this purpose, watch the repository and just select these two events ("Releases" and "Security Alerts"). Sadly for Velociraptor this does not work as (at least for a minor version) no new release is created. Instead the current release is modified which does not trigger an event/e-Mail. (Also https://github.com/Velocidex/velociraptor/security does not seem to be used but getting notified on a new release has a higher priority on my list)

Is there an easy was achieving this? (I guess there is a reason behing editing the release instead of creating a new one)

Hi Lukas,

You can follow the security RSS https://docs.velociraptor.app/rss/  for urgent upgrades, perhaps we can do a release RSS as well for non urgent bugfix releases.

We also make tags for new patch releases https://github.com/Velocidex/velociraptor/tags - you can follow the Github tag RSS feed here https://github.com/Velocidex/velociraptor/tags.atom 

You can also configure an external service like https://newreleases.io/ to send you emails when a new tag is published.
