Below is the email from my students who are running tests on the recent purchase
from Velmex

Mostly the control works fine, but they are several problems. Can you please
look into this and give us some help?

1. The first problem is the maximal speed for each BiSlides is different. On the
manually, it says the default is 2000cycles/second, and the range is from 0 to
6000. However, we found the maximal speed we can set is about 1500 for motor 1
and motor 3, and 800 for motor 2 (vertical). If we set speed higher than that,
the motors will not move, and there will be some strange loud noise. What could
be the reason? Also, why the maximal speed are different for different motors? I
thought there are the same bislides and motors...

2. The other problem I have is whether we can simultaneously move X, Y, Z and
rotary table? On the webpage video, it seems multiple axes can be controlled
simultaneously, http://velmex.com/motor_examples.html  But we cannot figure out
how to do it. Right now, I have to control one after the other...

3. In the order, we hoped to attach the rotary table both horizontally and
vertically on the Z-axis. However, the current mount seems only be able to mount
it horizontally... Is there some part missing in the package? If not, can you
tell me how to mount the rotary table in both directions?

Thanks. I can follow up with a call tomorrow or later.

Verify that your motors have been configured in COSMOS (or if unsure then go to "Tools--->Troubleshooting--->System Diagnostic" and send the diagnostic file to velmexc...@gmail.com)

Tech Suppt does follow the posts, but sometimes its quicker to direct email)

To move simultaneously would be like follows (motor 3 command has to come before Motor 1)
(,I3M1000,I1M-1000,),
Give it a try and see if it works?
