Hi all,
I am controlling Vexta stepper motor with  Velmex Xslide by  labview through NI DAQ. I have two limit switches at motor side and end side. I am facing trouble to understand limit switch connection. If I do not use motor controller, how should  I connect the limit switch with driver or with NI DAQ?

Motor: Vexta  2 phase with  Velmex Xslide
Drive: Microstep Driver
          ST-M5045
DAQ: NI myDAQ

Please help.
Thanks in Advance

NI myDAQ is a measurement system and the ST-M5045 is only a step motor drive.  You need a step motor controller too.
A Velmex VXM is both the controller and the driver in one.
The VXM is a plug-in and run device when used with Velmex motor driven slide assemblies.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
The control will be done by LabVIEW. That is why I do not want to use the controller

Nusrat,

LabVIEW is software, you will need a motor controller (hardware) too.
NI does make a motor controller which would work but, you will have to wire and troubleshoot it yourself.
