Hi,

We would have used XDC to get spool into a dataset; you cannot do that in SAR.

Probably many should have known this already, if not here it is.

The following JCL will do the trick.

//INTW081B JOB (TESTJOB),'SAR BACH',CLASS=I,MSGCLASS=X,

//        USER=INTW081,NOTIFY=&SYSUID,REGION=0M

//*

//PS100   EXEC PGM=SARBCH,PARM='HRPTP.DRPT10CM'

//SYSPRINT DD SYSOUT=*

//SYSOUT   DD SYSOUT=*

//SARLOAD  DD DSN=INTW081.WINS23CA.SPOOL,

//            UNIT=SYSDA,SPACE=(TRK,(45,45),RLSE),

//            DCB=(RECFM=FB,LRECL=150,BLKSIZE=0),

//            DISP=(NEW,CATLG,DELETE)

  //SYSIN DD *

/LOAD ID=WINS23CA  GEN=7374  SEQ=14481

//*

This will download the most recent copy of the report. If older copies are required, add the generation and sequence # of the report to be downloaded

PARM will be in initial screen of SAR. The GEN and SEQ are located at the extreme far right of the report name.

I have this JCL in DEVPVR9.TEST.JOBLIB(SARBCH). It is tested and working fine.

However if it is a one time use there is a manual way to do that also. (I didn’t succeed in doing this but anyway here it is)

1. Open the job listing in SAR.

2. In the command line put "MARK".

3. Then put M and Press F8 Key (This means scroll to the bottom of the dataset).

4. Then Put MARK again.

5. Come out to the job listing page in SAR.

6. Put P against the job. It will open up a screen.

8. Put HOLD Y (This option will be in the middle of the screen). Press Enter.

9. Now go to SDSF --> H (you will see a job in Hold Queue)

10. Put SE against the job. Then you can Cut and paste it anywhere.

(In SDSF type SET DISPLAY ON and check your prefix, owner, dest and filter settings reset them with DEST OWNER PREFIX FIL OFF)
