My Oculus Quest 2 is connected to my wifi and shows 192mps connection. I can browse the internet through the Oculus browser. However, it won't connect to anything else. I have done a factory reset and done a power cycle. I have accessed it through the Oculus app on my phone. I selected a few games to download but it tells me that they are queued until the Oculus is connected to the internet.

Yes, it says it is connected to my wifi, which has Internet, and it says that it has 192mbps upload and download speeds. Yet, it won't connect to anything associated with the oculus servers. I can browse the internet on it but nothing else. It is being used about 10 feet from the router which has been reset with no change.

I have performed a factory reset. Twice. There is still no solution. My internet connection is fine. It just won't communicate with oculus servers. Is there a way to manually update the firmware or something? Is anyone actually reading what I type here? I have followed your link to your "support page" and the only options listed to choose for a problem are "Audio or Speaker", "Button", "Display", "Headset Camera", and "Headset Charging or Power". None of which are my problem so two clicks in and I am stuck. An honest response would be appreciated.

I've been having the exact same problem recently where the internet, download speeds, and everything non oculus related works fine but my quest just doesnt communicate with any oculus servers whatsoever. I cant even play online games or look at the store because it says it cant connect with my account.

Having trouble with a Facebook or Instagram account? The best place to go for help with those accounts is the Facebook Help Center or the Instagram Help Center. This community can't help with those accounts.

Is there any reason I can't connect any longer? One day it works the next it's dead. Do you have to have a meta account already, I thought it was 1st Jan 2023. Uninstalled/reinstalled 3 times, same message. Anyone any ideas or is the Rift S really dead in the water now ......

One more thing you can try here is a manual clean uninstall/reinstall. While you have already uninstalled/reinstalled several times, if there were some lingering files it could still be having the same issue once you reinstall the main software. Here are our steps for a clean uninstall/reinstall:

All sorted thankyou, i had to make a new meta account and sign in with this and it re connected. So it looks like my original oculus account as locked out a few months early. that's progress i suppose

i can't open the oculus app i followed the way of removing the oculus app and ALL its files but when i try load it just says "cannot connect to the oculus server" i saw a post about logging out and trying a new account but i cant logout if i cant open the app so i am stumped

Can't setup my wifi. Looks like you have to be connected to the servers to save the wifi setting on your headset. Pretty stupid. Not sure why Meta needs my personal wifi info uploaded to their severs......????

Hey everyone! Connecting your headset to your network should be a breeze, so we'd love to help discover what could be causing this! If both of you could post screenshots of your mobile app, and possibly a photo of what your headset is displaying, that would be a big help! We look forward to hearing from you!

We wanted to check back in with everyone, as we'd love for you all to get back into VR as quickly as possible! Please provide those images for us, and we'll be eager to look into this! As always, please reach out if you have any other questions or concerns!

Be lucky if that's your only issue; I'm not familiar with Q3's set-up, but on Q2 with the mobile app it says can't connect to Oculus servers, but when I pick a wifi and enter a pass on the mobile app, my headset picks it up still no problem. I can also select my wifi from the headset itself during initial set-up.

This is confusing because when I first got my Quest 2 I used my mesh router and the WiFi Worked fine, but after its latest update like last month it just started with connected-No Internet. I've tried everything as well to no avail.

I just got a new mesh wifi 6 that is eero pro 6 what I had to do was go into the eero app and assign the quest 2 as a game console instead of default, for the type setting. That fixed it instantly and also made the connection speed faster

yo i have a fix for you, ive also done everything like factory resetting to literally restarting my entire router but nothing worked except this 1 thing. Theres a apk called swifi which will manage between your network so it wont get confused link is right here ----> -auto-switch-nearest-wifi/com.seah0rse.swififree You have to sideload it to your oculus using sidequest, don't worry i promise you theres are the safest things i use them myself its easy link right here for download ----> -Setup-0.10.27-x64-win.... How to sideload it if you don't know is use a type c cable to plug into your oculus, go on your oculus and allow your computer to use files from your oculus. When you open sidequest click the button next to the wifi symbol and find the apk in downloads it should be the first file you see. Click it, press open and the apk is successfully installed. go to unknown sources on your oculus to find the swifi apk and click it. i recommend putting your wifi strength to -70 dBm or over but not -100 dBm or over it works for me so it should work for you

I've been having this issue recently too. Not sure whatever update that did it, but now it does what everyone else here describes for the past week or two. Running out of options since not even my friends know what's wrong with it.

I tried the phone casting thing and it won't let me cast to my phone it just loads forever and then says there was a problem casting. I tried factory resetting the headset like other people said to do and that deleted everything and of course I can't download anything without an internet connection, so I'm kind of in a state of limbo with it.

Hey there, @PiRatting! We see that you're in a sticky situation. We would love to give you a hand! Our support team should be able to help you out with this issue. Once again, AMD drivers made me waste LITERALY whole day fixing something that is unfixable. I was trying to connect Quest 2 with multiple cables, official, unofficial, usb c straight to gpu, all motherboard ports, resetting everything that is possible. The same thing goes with Air Link, googles detect computer, but won't connect.

What I found out after hours of online investigation is... ADRENALIN DRIVERS ! It is known that there are just couple of drivers version that work with oculus because AMD is destroying everything that they try to "optymise' and fix it months or years later.

Fist of all - connecting quest to pc causes oculus app to infinite restart after plugging it into port. I have noticed it is correctly recognized, creates few instances on computer such as drivers in device manager.

I've got two Vega 64s (in secondary systems) and a 6900XT (in my primary gaming/VR system) and this constant oculus link breakage and bugs with recent driver updates is unacceptable for top tier video cards advertised as VR premium. I've got the packing boxes right here, all 3 cards list "VR premium" on the box.

MiniTool OEM program enable partners like hardware / software vendors and relative technical service providers to embed MiniTool software with their own products to add value to their products or services and expand their market.

As a virtual reality headset, Oculus Quest 2 is popular with users and you may get one. To use it, you need to install Oculus software on a compatible operating system to set up the headset. Then, use Air Link or the Link Cable to connect Quest 2 to your PC to play Oculus Rift content.

When Oculus software not installing happens, one of the things you should do is to make sure your device drivers are up-to-date, especially the graphics card driver. To do this work easily, you can use a professional driver update tool called Driver Booster. Or go to Device Manager in Windows 10 and update the drivers one by one.

Windows Firewall is an important part used to protect your computer from malware attacks. But it may stop the setup from connecting to Oculus servers, leading to a failed installation. So, you can try to disable Windows Firewall to install the Oculus app successfully.
