With the release of Geolog 7.4, the technological capabilities have been extended to the engineering domain, for work on wells that are already deep into production. In addition, a new geo-mechanics module that helps assess mechanical conditions around the wellbore provides deeper understanding into your reservoir.

The Geolog Geosteering add-on module enables geosteering experts to effectively edit and interpret logs in highly deviated wells and model the logging-while-drilling (LWD) tool response. Geolog Geosteer works in collaboration with Sysdrill drilling applications. These provide a powerful log-scale interpretation capability that integrates petrophysical, geological, geophysical and drilling workflows. Together, they support the design and engineering of complex well paths for optimized well placement based on seismic, geological, or reservoir data.

Paradigm says the new version focuses on four areas of new development: support for the generalist and geologist, improved usability through newly designed user interface and workflows, creation of the foundation elements for 3D petrophysics and development of additional tools and analysis techniques. It has a new module combiner that enables users to more easily build, execute, record and play back workflows. The software strengthens Paradigm Geolog's multilog analysis and rapid quality control (QC) capabilities with multiple cross-plot and histogram views and composite coherency plots and spidergrams, which are ideal for development fieldwork. Additionally, Paradigm has extended the current geosteering solution with 3D model support and a refresh capability, allowing the drilling engineer to evaluate the impact of real-time updates on the 3D model.

About ParadigmParadigm (www.pdgm.com) is the largest independent developer of software-enabled solutions to the global oil and gas industry. Paradigm easy-to-use technology and workflows provide customers with deeper insight into the subsurface by combining leading-edge science, high-performance desktop and cluster computing, and scalable data management, delivering highly accurate results and productivity without compromise.

As the industry standard for advanced petrophysical analysis, the Geolog product suite is unmatched in terms of its best-in-class petrophysical and geological analysis tools, well data management, superior graphics, and robust data integration.

High-definition seismic acquisition and well log data are now common among oil and gas companies. But having spent significant amounts on acquiring the data, organizations still lack the tools to extract the deeper levels of information available. The challenge extends from data processing and imaging to tying to logs, performing interpretations, honoring complex geology in the model, and outputting it all into simulation. With this in mind, and based on a long history of innovation, Paradigm has undertaken to create the first high-definition software platform to ensure that investments in data acquisition result in added value to drilling, completion and production. In Paradigm 17, the latest version of our solution suite, we leverage a high-definition platform, cloud computing, and the integration of Machine Learning, along with advanced technology and seamless integration, to improve asset team effectiveness in achieving superior decision-making results.

Paradigm Geolog Real Time Geosteering provides petrophysicists with the ability to model anticipated log responses for high-angle well trajectories based on the geological structure and offset well data. Modeling capabilities include synthetic image log generation which can be correlated with actual log responses while drilling for real-time directional corrections or as a post well analysis.

Drilling for oil has never been routine. Today, wells are becoming more and more complex and the E & P industry depends increasingly on technology to meet the rigorous demands of recovery and production.

Now, our pioneering Gravitas software suite not only connects geologists to the digital oilfield for the first time, it integrates all your well data and links asset and office to take you to new levels of data optimisation. Gravitas is the corporate electronic wellfile.

With Gravitas you can collect data real time, store current and historical well information securely, eliminate data transfer errors and produce reliable logs, charts and reports - all from one secure accurate data set.

Connecting geology with the digital oilfield, Gravitas solves the traditional problems associated with data collection, integration and transfer, giving geologists the freedom to get on with valuable interpretation/analysis.
