Happy Thanksgiving,
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and we hope you have a great time.
We want to invite you to the December 14 (not 10) Potluck of Northern Connecticut Vegetarian Society. We hope you can make it by 5 PM because that's when we start.
At this potluck,
Zaac Chaves will be the featured speaker. Zaac is an uber-environmentalist known for his long-distance biking, freegan antics, wild mushroom knowledge, couch surfing, and home-made tire shoes. He has bicycled down to Florida and up to Canada. Zaac will be discussing long-distance riding on a vegan diet, and how it not only relates to other cruelty-free practices(such as those strategies outlined on
freegan.info), but how these are all encompassing a single practice of both a cruelty-free and fulfilling lifestyle. This will be a discussion style presentation for all willing attendees to contribute to.
For the potluck, bring a healthy vegan dish to share along with a note card listing your ingredients and your name. Also, please bring your place setting (plate, cup, and utensils).
A donation of $5 per adult is requested to cover rental expenses; children are free. Oh, speaking of rental expenses, the Carniglia Senior Center, 41 Oak Street, Windsor Locks, CT, is the location for this event. Free parking is available in a large lot across from the Center.
Stay healthy...eat vegetarian,
