Very interested to purchase.  Any sites I can go to learn where to buy, etc.  I was conversing with a Vegan friend on Facebook and she mentioned she was having vegan wine.  I now have a great interest.

Thanks for any info you can give.

We offer our Terra Summa Organic Vegan Wines for sale in the state of Florida and Georgia.  Unfortunately, we do not have distribution in any other states.

I have just bought a bottle of vegan wine from M&S.  I find they have a good selection of vegetarian but fewer vegan.  I paid £5.99 for a bottle of Chilean.

The other place I have bought vegan wine from is the Dr Hadwen Trust for non-animal tsted medical research.  You have to buy it in half dozens or dozens.  It was some time ago and quite expensive for what I can remember, but it was very nice.

Try M&S though!

Hi:

Good to hear from you.

I personally drink Organic Vegan wine…not only are the grapes organic, but, the wine is never goes through a ”fining”process mixed with  with animal parts…(that is a filtering process that removes all the sediments from the grapes) – I am allergic  to Eggs and have to drink Organic Vegan Wine.

I have forwarded to you under separate cover some sites that you should visit. They will inform you of places where you can purchase the wine, as well as lots of information regarding the manufacturing of the wines.

Also, I personally, purchase my wine here at Whole Foods Market, in Coral Springs, Florida….I get some great Organic Vegan wine that tastes great.

Thanks for reaching our….and if I can be of any further assistance, do not hesitate to contact me.

We also have Brews and Blues every Friday note…here at the store…whereby you can taste any wine you like.

The hours are 7-9….with love Blues musicians playing great music.

Take care and stay in touch!

Hi Charlotte,

Depends what country you're in. For the UK try the Vegan Society, also Viva & Animal Aid sell it, I think. As for shops, Co-op label their vegan stuff & Sainsbury's do too. And if you're from Essex, Lambrini's vegan ;-)

Hi Charlotte,

Not sure how I got your email - or where you are but we are small organic, preservative free & of course vegan friendly wine producers in Western Australia. We post wine Australia wide.

If you are in Australia and want to know more I'm more than happy to answer any questions you may have. We also have a website that I've tried to make clear and informative :-)

Kindly,

Hi all,
here in England, most supermarkets now have a range of vegan wines too.
In Australia, Peter Leeman don't add any animal filtering to their reds.
Good to know there are others -let us know when you export.

Hi all,

Sainsbury's 'Taste the Difference' all state whether veggie or vegan on the back.  I am frustrated that all wines don't state it on the label - is that really too complicated?

I agree. Why can't these wineries have "vegan" on their label?

It's so funny when I tell my friends to check the label on Co-op's own port, (Co-op were always very good at labelling), as it says "Contains: Pork"!
The producers use the gelatine as finings.

Most people don't even realise that wine is not veggie in the majority of cases.
One outraged (and drunk) lady once vehemently asked me, "why don't the government tell us these things, we could all be poisoned!" while gripping a ciggie in the corner of her mouth.
My reply was that not many people are allergic to fish finings, so we need a few more to die from wine-related incidents before they will 'do something'.
I don't know if this is true but it had the desired effect.

I'm sure the well-known wineries and the ones that produce things like champagne, which are regarded as ostentatious wines, may say it would devalue their brand to be associated with vegetarianism on their labels.

If the vegan market was more like 25%, they may rethink. Supermarkets aim to appeal to the masses so they have nothing to lose.

I hope in my grandchildren's lifetime, it may be so different.

And likely also Lyle's Syrup and Bovril☺

Pimms is a British "long drink" poured (mostly) in summer, whose color matches purple punk.  Wine it ain't.☺

Cheers -- in every sense!
