PTR Records

Hi All,

I've upgraded from .9 to 0.11.1 and ran the SQL upgrade scripts. All is working very well and thank you for great software!

One of my main motivations for this was to enable SRV records and also for the ptr records fix.

When I add a ptr records for ip 192.168.100.1 to domain test.com I am getting:

PTR "1.100.168.192.in-addr.arpa..test.com" does not end in .in-addr.arpa.

What do I need to do to fix this or am I doing it wrong?

Hi Brian,

Are you doing this?

Have you created a domain called 100.168.192.in-addr.arpa ?

The to add a record...

In the Hostname field put 1.100.168.192.in-addr.arpa

Select Type as PTR

In the Address field put test.com. (I always put the trailing . here)

Leave the other fields and hit the Edit button.
