Hi,
I'm considering buying a Vectrix for my work commute, 26 miles
roundtrip in Central NJ, back roads, average speed 30-40 mph. I'm
currently riding a small motorcycle.

I'm mostly interested in reports on reliabilty. I'm hoping some
members of this group have owned their Vectrixes (Vectrices?) for more
than a year now and can report what problems, if any, they've had,
warranty coverage, etc. Any recalls?

I'm also wondering about how the range changes as the scooter ages. Do
the batteries really last as the manufacturer claims or have people
seen their range between charges decrease over time?

Regards,
Hal Purdy

Hey Hal,

I did 7 months of a 26 mile commute on the highway in the SF bay area.
I had a plug at work to recharge, and I generally made it all the way.
Times I ran out of power involved too much top end (62) and too much
headwind. You should be fine at 30-40. I've got over 6k miles on mine
and have not noticed any drop off in the batteries. I had a recall
issue that the factory took care of. I've found the factory and the
dealer to be entirely helpful.
