Still riding?

I have an NiMh vx-1 that I managed to damage the battery pack on early on by following the directions in the user manual too closely.  My range now is 12-15 miles, and I use it so infrequently that the scooter has earned the nickname "the albatross".  I'd love to get a battery upgrade, but can't begin to justify the cost.

I'm wondering if any of the others on this list still ride their scooters, and whether anyone has found satisfactory support in the US.

Sad to see that no one has any thoughts on Vectrix whatsoever, anywhere I can look.  I guess it's time for a new license plate, 'til it finally stops running:  ALBTRS!
