Marketing/Sales Assistant for Vectrix San Francisco

British Motors & Qvale Auto Group have been selling luxury cars
(Jaguar, Land Rover, Lamborghini, Lotus and Bentley) in San Francisco
bay area for over 60 years. We are a family owned and operated company
that values and supports our employees. The new addition to our
company is Vectrix California. Recently, we have become the California
distributor for Vectrix, the NEW All-Electric-Maxi-Scooter.
The Product
The first of a series of products to be designed and developed by
Vectrix is an advanced zero-emission, battery-powered maxi scooter
that offers comparable performance to a 400cc gas-powered maxi
scooter. The Vectrix VXe offers urban commuters and fleet operators a
cleaner, quieter and lower lifetime cost alternative to traditional
gas scooters. This scooter has a maximum speed of 62mph and a range of
60 miles on a 2 hour charge. It is the only two wheel electric vehicle
rated for highway use.
The Position
We are looking for a sales/marketing assistant that is multi-talented,
to be based out of San Francisco, but willing to travel. Job
responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Assisting in organizing events, mailing lists, brainstorming
marketing ideas, etc.
* Attending events in the Bay Area and possibly Los Angeles. Setting
up/breaking down the booths, educating attendees about the bike and
taking them for test drives.
* Transporting and delivering the bikes (to events or for sale), in
the delivery truck. Loading and unloading the bikes from the truck.
* Working with the Marketing Coordinator and the Manufacture to
conduct research on the Target Demographics.
* Press interviews or other PR functions as needed.
* Corresponding in online chat rooms and other web based marketing
activities.
* Taking on and learning new responsibilities as they arise.
Qualifications:
* Must have a Flexible Schedule and be willing to travel, but will be
based out of our San Francisco location.
* Prior experience or education in Marketing/Sales a plus, but not
required. Ideally, a degree in marketing (or similar field).
* Must either have an M1 motorcycle license or be willing to get one,
and be comfortable riding a scooter/motorcycle.
* At least some motorcycle/scooter driving experience is preferable.
* Must have a good driving record (we will ask you to supply proof of
your driving record), you will be driving a delivery truck.
* Must be extremely comfortable talking to lots of different types of
people - this product appeals to environmentalists, members of the
electric vehicle community, technology buffs, business commuters,
motorcycle enthusiasts, etc.
* Must be energetic and comfortable moving promotional materials,
including boxes, banners, etc.
* Ability to think on your feet and problem solve.
* Organized and Professional, with good communication skills and
integrity.
* Proficiency with computers (internet research, email, etc.)
