Is there no progress at all on this? My son and I want to race together between my PC and his XBox and it's like a lottery ticket win when we can ever get the two to connect to each other. It literally will work one day and not the next or the next. This should not be something EA is silent about. It looks like a problem that's been going on for literally YEARS and we get the same set of 'solutions' that don't work, and there seems to be no real concern from EA about this.
Without a working crossplay solution, my son and I may just skip out on F1 24, so that's two sales lost, guys.
So I have finally built my first D3D UWP application and wanted to test it on my Xbox. For that, I instructions on Xbox Developer Mode activation - UWP applications Microsoft Learn, downloaded the dev app, went to -us/xboxconfig/devices/index and found out that the page immediately showed a red notification bar "Request failed with status code 400". If I try to add the device via the plus button on the right, it also shows "Request failed with status code 400". I know that the Microsoft account I am using is a dev account since the old times of Windows Phone and I have several apps listed in the dashboard - I also can create new apps.
The instructions from Xbox One Developer Mode Not Activating (Website Does Not Display - Microsoft Community also do not help. I do not need help finding the plus button, I need someone fix the tons of JavaScript errors my browser shows when I go to the "Xbox development consoles" page.
I am reasonably sure that a bunch of scripting errors that show up in the dev tools when accessing the partner center are not a problem of the Xbox itself, but an issue of the portal. I will still ask the Xbox support, though.
Bad news from my side: The Partner Center support claims that it is not their fault and told me to contact ID@Xbox support. I am massively annoyed at this point, because I already know that the ID@Xbox support will tell me it is not their problem, because I am not enrolled in ID@Xbox. The website even says that the UWP dev mode is a different thing:
I have no opened another support ticket with the Partner Center, because on the ID@Xbox site, I found that what we are trying to do is called the "Creators Program". The support FAQ there points pack to the very support site who claimed not to be responsible for this ...
I had actually reported the issue to ID@Xbox a few weeks ago, because the partner centre guy repeatedly told me that it would be an ID@Xbox issue although the documentation says that the partner centre is not applicable for ID@Xbox. Last Thursday, I eventually got a response that they hat forwarded it to "ID Setup", but I haven't received any other information since then. Perhaps they actually fixed it ... I have just tried it, the error is gone for me, too, and I could successfully enable dev mode.
I encountered this problem today (20240216). I still got the red flag of status code 400 with multiple browsers tried and all cache cleaned. The + button to manually input registration code only get me endless circle.
Same exact thing is happening to me as of 16-2-24. Multiple browsers, multiple devices, all with the 400 error. The plus button seems to work, but once the code is inputted it does nothing, and the Xbox is still on the code screen. This is most certainly something on the Partner Center's side. I've submitted a ticket, so hopefully they can fix what's broken.
Me as well feb 17 2024, support is no help, multiple pcs tried, mobile, windows 7,11, different browsers. no problem to take my money though! So tired of this garbage company releasing software that does NOT WORK PLAIN AND SIMPLE. also can't remove payment info now since the developer account is a "recurring payment" but not due for 50 years? What? Will call support tomorrow and see what they have to say. Will try different home internet connection tomorrow with mobile+win11 laptop to see if it persists. Not happy once again from this company. Im sure support will tell me to unplug my computer and wait 3 minutes lol. Ill have my bottle of aspirin ready
Having the same issue, tested using differente browsers and PCs and mobile devices. Error Request failed with status code 400 in a red banner at the top of the screen at xbox development consoles page in the Partner Center. Individual account is properly registered and paid. Endless circle is present after activation code input twice. If you input code once nothing happens.
Send an e-mail to
i...@xbox.com. That seemed to have worked form me. They never sent me anything that the issue was resolved, but it started working shortly after I received confirmation that they are looking into it. If you don't get this confirmation in a week or so, send your mail again and mark it important (that is what the ID@XBOX website says).Good luck!Christoph
Thanks Christoph, Ive sent an email to the ID@xbox. I've also created some sort of microsoft dev support ticket. Still not working for me today. I called xbox support (who surprisingly was no help and sent me somewhere else to attempt to resolve their issue) I was provided a 1000 page webpage but managed to find
premd...@microsoft.com who apparently can be contacted to resolve this. I also had another forum post from last night and received this reply from a microsoft agent: "It seems that you're experiencing issues activating your Xbox on Partner Center. The error message "Request failed with status code 400" usually indicates that there is an issue with the request being sent to the server. This could be caused by a number of factors, such as an incorrect activation code or a problem with the server itself." So it looks like this is literally an error with microsofts servers being a pile of trash. Why can't I just activate the stupid xbox dev mode FROM THE XBOX THAT I WANT TO DEVELOP WITH? I already bought the licence... have to do 30 sign ins and navigate through e-hell on that partner centre just to get an error message for something that should be automatic. after PAYING for something that doesnt work. I swear MS has had the most inefficient products since winxp. I honestly cannot think of one product or service Ive had from these nuts that actually works properly and is user friendly
