I also deleted prefs, plist files and so on from my system, but without luck. I guess I have to do a complete reinstall of all my adobe software. A big pain with all 3th party plugs... (the only thing I didn't figure out by the way, if there's a plug that causes trouble)

What is frustrating is that I was working on more complicated projects in older versions of after eftects years ago on a worse machine and they rendered a lot faster than basically anything in the current version. I could use vector images and they rendered faster, I could use higher reolution images and even photoshop files and they rendered faster, I could work with multiple image sequences for 3d-multipass renderings and they rendered faster? Even last year I could see an increase in render times by 50 percent from one update to the next while working on the very same project? What is going on? Why is this an issue? What should I prioritise when buying a new machine to not experience these issues? Is GPU all that matters and has adobe dropped support for CPU entirely?

Adam, would it be possible to get a copy of the file plus associated media that shows this problem? It's an issue I've heard reported - obviously here! - but it's not something we're aware of in terms of a bug we've already got logged and are tracking. Doesn't mean it's not but in order to figure it out, we'll need to get a project we can use to duplicate the issue.

I have spent many hours watching tutorials und trying to understand everything as best as I could. I followed the advice of many to change my workflow to ACES (Cinema 4D / Redshift). But for some reason nobody is talking about exporting the footage from After Effects. Every tutorial I have watched ends right there in After Effects. So my question is: what is a good way to export from After Effects. I have found out that I can export mp4 directly from AE 2023 via the render queue, but if I use media encoder, it is not working correctly. Why? If I use After Effects Beta and I use the built in Converter, my Media Encoder gives a warning message, that the color conversion was not successful.
