ESOFT Metro Campus, the largest private sector higher education network in Sri Lanka, held its 2019 Diploma Awarding Ceremony recently at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall. 1350 students who successfully completed the Information Technology Diploma Course and the English Language Diploma Course at ESOFT Metro Campus were Awarded their Diplomas.

The 2019 Diploma Awarding Ceremony of ESOFT Metro Campus consisted of two sessions. The Diploma awarding ceremony for students of the ESOFT Metro Campus Colombo branch (Head Office) was held in the morning and 600 students were awarded their Diplomas at this ceremony.

The Chief Guest of this ceremony was Channa De Silva, Chairman, Sarvodaya Development Finance Limited. 1500 people including Principals of leading schools of Colombo, invitees and parents participated in this ceremony in which the Guest of Honour was Dr. Dayan Rajapakse, the Group Managing Director of the ESOFT Group of Companies. In this ceremony, 20 high achieving students were recognised and awarded medals. The awards of excellence for most outstanding students were secured by Uthpala Adhikari (Dual Diploma), Ranudi Gunawardena (Diploma in Information Technology) and Kishoritha Suthagar (Diploma in English).

The Diploma Awarding Ceremony for students of Panadura, Wattala, Kaluthara and Minuwangoda Branches of ESOFT Metro Campus was held in the afternoon and 750 students were awarded their Diplomas in this ceremony.

By that he meant that students should have very clear professional targets, they should have a clear plan to reach that target and furthermore, they should have maximum effort, maximum dedication and the ability to overcome challenges in their paths to reach their desired targets.

At present, the information technology Diploma course for which the most number of students enroll after their G.C.E. (Advanced Level) Examination is the DITEC Information Technology Diploma Course of ESOFT Metro Campus. A Diploma Certificate with international recognition is awarded by Pearson of the United Kingdom to students who successfully follow the DITEC Information Technology Diploma Course. The Pearson Certificate is also awarded for successful completion of the Diploma in English Course and if a student completes both courses at the same time, two Diploma Certificates are awarded to him or her. This has become well-known as the ESOFT Dual Diploma.

ESOFT Metro Campus has made arrangements to recruit new students for the Diploma in Information Technology Course and the Diploma in English Course from next August for students who are sitting for the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) Examination this year. Further information about the courses on offer could be obtained from any branch of ESOFT Metro Campus located Island-wide.
