Rubrics can be edited to print for students to do peer observation.

StateFarm has an instructor app that assesses balance of acceleration, braking, and steering.
Instructor sets it before drive and stops it after drive, no need to look at it during drive, it does not make any distracting sounds after it is started.

Many other recording, mapping, and assessment apps are available.  They will run from trunk of car, glove box, cup holder, or phone mount.
