As one of the amazing, accomplished, beautiful people I know, I write to ask for your support as I look to transition from my current roll to a position where I can more directly contribute to the causes I am passionate about. I am grateful for any connections, advice or inspiration you can share and have attached my 1-page resume for consideration.
I'm looking for positions based in the DMV area, but for the right job/organization, my husband and I would be open to moving. I am also considering founding an organization that offers leadership/professional development programming for young women of color and am interested in connected with folks who are working in this arena.
Types of positions I'm looking for: Program Officer/Director, Senior/National Director, Executive Director focused on leadership development, program development/management/facilitation, specifically working with women/girls and/or diverse communities either domestically or internationally.
Core causes I'm passionate about: reproductive rights/justice, racial justice, gender equity/leadership/empowerment, supporting the performing arts
Key Attributes of orgs I'd like to work with:
I would like to work with an organization that actively promotes inclusion at all levels, honoring the identities, skills and experiences each team member brings to the table. I am most energized when working in a creative, collaborative environment where people can take ownership of projects and have the space to take risks, learn and grow. In addition, I am looking for an organization that has solid infrastructure around employee development/engagement.
