Nikki and I are your 2013 Fundraising Committee co-chairs and we wanted to reach out to you about some upcoming FUNdraising events for VDAY DC 2013.
This Thursday is your first chance to get you and your friends involved before we even get to our amazing production of the Vagina Monologues. After you read all about Laughing Vaginas, keep scrolling down to read about the SongRise concert next Tuesday (February 12th).

Laughing Vaginas: Part Deux will take place on February 7th, 2013. This all female comedy show will be our first public fundraising event.

VDay-DC is teaming up with DC’s finest women stand-up comedians in honor of VDay, the global movement to stop violence against women and girls. Donations will benefit HIPS and this year’s VDay spotlight campaign, 1BillionRising. HIPS provides educational programming and advocates for female, transgender and male sex workers in the DC metro area. 1BillionRising is an international call to action to end violence against women and girls culminating in Vday 2-14-13 when an international flash-mob will take place.
