You are invited to join us for the 13th session of femex – a class designed to explore the female experience by creating a safe and intentional environment where we can discuss topics including anatomy, sex & gender, body image, communication, sexual practices, relationships, and more – all issues that impact the way we experience the world. We have held femex in the DC community since 2009 and have reached over 600 folks in the area. Our program is open to all.

By encouraging our participants of all genders to examine their motivations, assumptions, and perceptions of the female identity, we intend to spread conversations about gender outward into communities through friends, partners, colleagues, and even strangers. We believe these conversations are often the essential pieces that lead to awareness, understanding, and action in our communities.

Attending an Info Session (or femexposure) is MANDATORY in order to submit an application for the Fall Session. During all info sessions, facilitators will go over important dates, review the course syllabus and answer any questions you have about the class. You will also get to meet past participants who will share their experiences.

femexposure is a special in-depth info session where you'll get a taste of what a femex class is actually like. Participants will dive into activities and discussions that simulate the femex class experience. *This session runs as a workshop from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Participants should arrive by 7:00pm.

Timeline: The Fall Session of femex classes is scheduled to begin in late August 2015 and run through mid-December. Classes run 1x per week for approximately 3 hours for 16 weeks.

Class Capacity: femex is an all-volunteer run organization. While we would love to accept all who apply, our current capacity allows us to run approximately 4 classes per session. If we are unable to accommodate you this session we encourage you to stay engaged by signing up for updates here.

If you have any questions or cannot attend one of our info sessions and are still interested in the spring session, please contact us at eve...@femex.org or visit: www.femex.org
