Vagina Warriors Past and Present, 

Just a little note from the 2013 V-DAY DC crew! We are just about two weeks away from the 6th Annual V-DAY DC performances, which this year will be at the GALA Hispanic Theater in Columbia Heights (a real theater! can you believe it?!). We're very excited about the show this year (obvi), and we hope that y'all will be able to join us in one way or another. As you know, there are lots of options for how to contribute:

1. Come see the shows! April 6 (2pm or 7pm) and April 7 (3pm). Tickets available here, as per usual: www.vdaydc.org Yes, there will be pops...:)

2. Donate! Our beneficiary this year is HIPS (www.hips.org), which is an organization that assists sex workers in DC. They are awesome. You can donate to them here: https://hips.nationbuilder.com/v_donation. GOLD STAR to Katie Blaisdell for our first alumnae donation!

3. Volunteer at the show! Shoot me an email if you want to help out in that way. 

4. Spread the word! Our alumnae are our best advocates-- you know what we do and why we do it. Tell your friends, networks, families, etc., about us through your preferred social media or form of communication. 

I know that many of you on these lists are involved in V-DAY shows-- both our 2013 show (reminder: learn your lines!) in DC and around the country (I know we've got Chapel Hill and Atlanta representing-- go, Kei and JoAnna!), and know that every dollar and every person we manage to sensitize to these issues counts. As recent events in India and Steubenville, among countless others, demonstrate, the battle is far from over.
