Davies speaks about the Iraq war as genocide.
Swanson speaks about what we can do.
Ferencz provides a riveting historical, legal perspective on international law.

All three are complementary and are well worth your time.  I need to find a copy of Davies' Blood on Our Hands.
Ferencz' website is: http://www.benferencz.org

Project Censored story about the media blackout on accurate figures of post-invasion dead in Iraq:

Here's an article mentioned in Swanson's remarks:

I made this myself, but feel free to suggest changes or alternatives. We need to make copies and get our posters out pretty damn soon. That can be done in one day though. We just need 3 or 4 dollars to make the copies to put around campus. Please pitch in, it's not that much! Also, DO NOT open the poster with Google documents. It won't look right. Open it on your own. Use the "open with" option if you don't want to download it. It'll look right when you do that or download it. Also, if you are working on putting the event together, please get in touch with me. Email me or call me at 804-698-0754. I might not answer the first time, but leave a message and I WILL call you back ASAP!

Thanks,

How did last nights discussion and film showing go?  Sorry I couldn't make it, some days i just can't go from one meeting to the next.  Saw a few positive comments about it on facebook though.

Thanks Vivek, I'll check these things out!

Kenny, It went pretty well. There were about 28 people there and the discussion was good. Not a lot of concrete discussion of organizing against the wars in Richmond, but I'm going to reach out to some of the people who came to try and push getting together to do some organizing in Richmond. I am optimistic. Among other people/groups, I hope to work with the Muslim Students Association in the future, as there were some members of that there, whom I spoke with after the event and they seemed enthusiastic.

Also, Kenney, do you think you could come to the meeting tonight? I'm going to propose that idea I had for IU620 using the every other week meeting time to meet, as wells as going to plug IWW in its capacity as a potential outlet for student organizing (you can see these things on the agenda posted on the Facebook event), and thought it'd be beneficial for you to maybe give yr two cents about it. Also if anyone has any complex questions about the IWW or industrial unionism which I or Nick can't answer, or is possibly interested in joining. If you can't come that's totally fine. Just throwing that out there.
