OK, so the conversation over two different email threads is troubling. I have all of the business here. Please email me on this thread only. Here is what we have so far.

1. Vivek made a nice poster for us. Money is needed to make copies. I have one dollar so far. If you said you could give a dollar, I need it by Wednesday afternoon so I can make copies and put them up Wednesday. When do you want to meet up?
2. Both Adria Scharf and David Swanson have said they cannot speak. I can forward you the emails if you don't believe me. So I think, since I gave a speech on May Day, that I could give a brief (five minute) talk on the issues before leading into the main speaker's (Mark Wood) lecture. Let me know if this is OK with you. I'm sure we'll have enough time for Rachel, Vivek, or Jamshid to speak for a few minutes too if they'd like.
3. If you can pay for Swanson's books and get them here in time for the film screening, go for it. If you have literature you want to give out, go for it. SDS and myself do not have any money.
4. What do you think we should propose an anti-war movement in VA look like at the event? This is important because we want our educational film screening to lead to action. I propose that it help find alternatives to the military for underprivileged kids. You know how they recruit people by talking about money for college and such. I also propose we get labor involved, organize workers. The IWW would be down with this given its historical stance as an anti-war union.
5. If you have any other ideas to promote the event, feel free to do that.

I would also consider ask local anti-war activist rain burroughs to speak. She hasnt written a book but she is well versed on the anti war movement.

I'll keep that in mind. I also forgot to mention that I need to talk to Martin Wein before any new speakers, whoever they may be, are added. He helped get the speakers, or at least the two that couldn't do it.

I moderated a discussion of this film last year that went well. It seems to me that a lecture following the film is a bit much. I would suggest brief comments from whoever would like to deliver them, including a proposal, as suggested by Nicholas, regarding an action plan.
