By performing congregational chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra, one can destroy the sinful condition of material existence, purify the unclean heart and awaken all varieties of devotional service. Caitanya Caritamrta - Antya Lila 20.13
This Saturday, May 28th, we have a picnic with Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu (Change in plans from Seattle Center Folklife festival). The two things Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu recommended are public chanting called Nagara sankirtana and distributing massive amounts of prasadam. We will do both of these on Saturday at the Golden Gardens park from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Let's see if we can exceed the book count we distributed last week. Have added Bellingham, Tacoma, Ellensburg, Portland and Vancouver leaders to distribute to their congregations; kindly do the needful.
Last week we were delayed due to rain and this week we have forecast for bright sunshine. Let's Collect at temple by 1 p.m. and head out to Golden Gardens park. There is ample parking at the park.

Intro: Golden Gardens is one of Seattle’s most popular parks and one of the Northwest’s most beautiful beaches. The 87-acre park in Ballard is situated on Puget Sound, overlooking the Olympic mountains (see map). During the summer months, the park is packed with beachgoers enjoying the sun, sand and stunning views. Kids play in a small stream on the beach.
