Hello Everyone
Today we have sent out the invoice to each district and also the bookings sheets, if you haven't received one then please contact me ASAP!
August is quickly approaching and we have some news for you In this mail out you will find a couple of things. It is really important that you both read and act on the information that is enclosed.
We want to remind you about our website it is where there will be the programme and the villages uploaded after pre-camp. We include on the website activities for you to do in your group nights to prepare Venturers for the camp and also make sure that they are taking part in the preparation and design for the camps policies. Please do use them and contact us if you have other resources to share.

The deadline for final payments will be a month before the camp (5th JULY 2010), payments after this date may receive a further £10 additional administration charges as we have no paid staff to process it until the camp.
Pre-camp information is also included in this mailing, Its 19 -20 June and £5, Saturday 2010 – Sunday including Saturday lunch and Sunday breakfast (you have to sort out your own dinner). If you want to come please make sure that you have booked in with the instructions provided. Everyone is invited as long as you RSVP.

Hi Magico and LLoyd (again)
1) Re booking sheets: are they just for info, or what do you want us to do with them?
2) We have tried very hard to get someone to pre-camp but have drawn a blank. How will the village allocation happen without us there? We did put down a preference on the booking form initially (Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Ealing) and wonder if this info will be taken into account?
3) We have a potential problem with sleeping arrangements. We may only have one male venturer (14 years) whose sister (16) will be there for the whole time and whose father will be there as leader for 4 nights. Reading the WCF Safeguarding Policy, (· In principle, no person aged 16 or over should share a sleeping area or tent with any person under 16; however, this may be negotiated in the case of some families and on bivies etc. · No person under the age of 16 should be permitted to sleep alone, unless arrangements have been made with the parent/guardian before the trip), it seems to me that he may have to share a tent with his father while his father's there, and then sleep alone (with parental permission) for the other nights. Is this a correct reading?
In theory I suppose he could share a tent with male venturers from the other disctricts in the village???
4) Similarly, a potential problem with only haveing a male leader for some of the time. I asked you about this a few months ago and you indicated that as long as we were camping with districts that had male leaders......
Of course these are the kind of queries which could be sorted out during pre-camp, so it's annoying for you and for us that we won't be able to make it..... sorry...

| The bookings that I sent you need to be check for accuracy. The booking sheets that you have should be bought to camp as they are also the health form and you should keep hold of them! With the question about camping I would say yes. On the issue of village make up, im sure it will be taken in to account but Magico will answer in more detail. I am
writing to let you know there will not be any international participation at the
precamp,as either the delegations could not make the date. or were unable
to confirm if they are able to participate at all.I amhowever still hoping
for three delegations Portugal,Hungary,Latvia,but sadly not
Spain.
We
still have not received the grant.
