hi lloyd,

 

just checking to see if you have received all of the cheques and booking spreadsheet that i posted off to you a few weeks ago now?  i haven't heard anything and wondered whether all was well and being processed!?  what is my next steps to take with my venturers - do i start getting in balance of camp fees or should i wait to receive the invoice from you?

Hi Trish/Mig et al

Don't know if either of you've had a personal reply - but in the
spirit of solidarity thought I'd let you know that we haven't heard
anything in Bristol, and our deposit cheque hasn't been banked
either!

However, just for info, for VCamp in 2008 we received an invoice from
Lloyd for final payment at the end of May, listing the amounts due for
the district. The final payment was requested by the 9th July. In the
past we have suggested people could pay £25 a month (e.g. for 4
months) towards the camp/transport to spread it out.

Agree it would be good if we knew our bookings had arrived (the
deposits being banked told me that last time!) and maybe someone could
post on the website to indicate when the balance is due....? (in an
obvious place in case it's already there and we've all missed it!)

I still haven't heard anything and my cheque hasn't been banked either.

Also I enquired about when we'd know who we were
camping with and haven't heard back....

From past experience camping "combinations" are usually sorted out at the pre-Camp (19-20 June at the site).

The pre-camp weekend seems quite late to me, but will go with the flow if that's the way it usually happens...

We'd like to know as soon as poss if we're going to need to bring our kitchen, for example, so we can look into van hire etc...

Actually it would be helpful overall to have a some sort of timeline of when things are expected to happen in the run up to camp, if that's not asking too much

Again based on past experience, it is at pre-camp that the make up of villages is confirmed and it is decided which District in each village will provide what equipment.
I have a memory that the initial form asked Districts what, if any, equipment they could offer and at the VCamp08 pre-camp this information was part of the process of creating villages.
Lloyd did a lot of it last time so I guess we await his return.

Precamp will be the weekend starting on the 18th June, and it will held at Drum Hill, Little Eaton.
