Role Summary GE Intelligent Platforms is seeking a motivated self-starter who has balance between latest cutting edge technologies and the Core C++ knowledge. In this position you will work as a team with other Engineers to identify and implement key functionality necessary to round out our Product. Essential Responsibilities. Work as part of distributed development team to: create and maintain "commercial-off-the-shelf" software products and work with cross-functional team to ensure reliability, functionality and quality goals Complete feasibility analysis and prototyping Generate clear and concise design documentation Hands-on development of production software code Design and development of software applications in C++,VC++ and .NET platforms using C# Interface with QA to ensure quality Investigate and evaluate new technologies Collaborate with all stakeholders including other GE businesses to ensure product success Provide timely and accurate estimates for product deliverables Assist existing customers in problem resolution and help define future opportunities with those customers Continuous product improvement through maintenance activities on existing products to correct errors in the original implementation, adding new features or re-architecting areas for performance improvement Qualifications/Requirements Bachelors or Masters in Technology/Engineering preferably in Electronincs Minimum of 7 years experience in Software Development with Microsoft Visual Studio/Development tools Minimum of 2-3 years C# programming experience Minimum of 6 years of experience in C++,VC++,COM/DCOM,SQL Exposure to .NET 3.5 technologies like WCF, WPF Experience creating database applications with Visual Basic or VBA Knowledge of MES, Databases, and HMI/SCADA applications Ability to communicate and interface directly with the customer Proven ability to write clear, concise requirements and design documents Experience working with Enterprise level Large Scale Applications Software skills in software analysis, design, methodology and architecture Strong spoken and written English language skills Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills Desired Characteristics Experience in problem solving, data structures and algorithms Experience in building client/server applications Experience in multi-threaded applications development Manufacturing IT, Infrastructure Software, or Automation Software industry experience Development in an ISO-certified environment Multi-platform experience Development in an Agile Software Process environment Location: Hyderabad, India Salary : Negotiable Very Urgent Requirement If your profile matches to the above requirement and if you are interested in the above opening kindly email your updated resume at the earliest as word document, without changing the subject line.
